[LP] Civilization VI: Leader Pass - Discussion Thread

Went away from CivFanatics a while, hoping that, when I'll come back, I'll have some juicy news for me (civfanatics is my only source for Civ 6 as I'm not on Twitter), and hyping myself for reading all the discussions here about how the arms of Ludwig II look like.

Must I say that I disappointed, true.
That was me yesterday. Got home, late and tired. Apparently my brain had thoroughly convinced itself the announcement had been made. Sat down with some cereal, opened my laptop. Only when I saw no new thread by Laurana or Eagle did it start to dawn on me "wait, why did I just assume it?"

Now I understand the disappointment and confusion those end of times fellas feel the minute after the time they've set as the end of the world. There you are merrily expecting the world to end but then you just have to tuck yourself into bed like any other night.

And then they go and set another date... only to be disappointed again.

So next time you see one of those lunatics, just give them the address for Civfanatics, and tell them it's a place of like-minded individuals.

so what are the chances of announcement happening this week?( 6th~ 10th)

36.4% -97.9%

I mean, seriously, who can answer this but some working for Firaxis? Since they won't tell, the only real answer to this question can be "It's anyone's estimate, but I believe it's an X chance because of [argument]"

Personally, I'd think it's a high chance since they posted "6 DLCs that are scheduled for release between November 2022 - March 2023**", so that means that if they need to do something every week in March from now on. Reveal this week, release the week after, reveal the week after that, and finally a release. If they don't keep to this pattern, there will be a release in April.

But since they also wrote this...

"** Estimated release dates, subject to change. Leader Pass content will be automatically delivered in-game as it is released."

It's still anyone's estimation.

I wish I had like, one tenth of your energy and enthusiasm re: the Leader Pass.
I am only this excited for Sejong since... well he is just better representation than whatever Seondok was. Heck most Korean Civ 6 fans are already willing to abandon her and never play her as Korean leader once Sejong becomes a thing.
For us Sejong is one true leader for Korea.

This is my most anticipated pack, but it's understandable. I have learned to be okay with my back up anticipations, as well. :)

Even if he ends up being worse?

For your sake, and for all of Korea, I hope he is everything you want and more 🌠
I doubt all of Korea feels that way about her.
I'm personally more interested in what Ludwig and Theodora can bring to the table, because I know that Sejong is just going to be another leader that also goes for science.

Lolz look at this:
The guy is famous Korean civ player on YouTube.
On the thumbnail is funeral photo of Seondok and he is declaring that since Sejong should be coming out soon this will be his last playthrough as Seondok.
Yes not every Korean feels this way... because not every Korean CARES Civ. Those who do and are fans of civ... will say they prefer Sejong over Seondok.

Most Korean civ fans are excited because... well simply because he is Sejong- the almost perfect leader that one could ask for. Seriously aside from his limitations as a human being- he was perfect leader in every aspect.

That's such an absurd take. "You're not a true Civ fan unless you enjoy Civ the way I do!"

Who appointed you gatekeeper?

Also, reminder you're the one who in another thread said you'd only play Civ 7 if Korea was in it. So your "credentials" as a Civ fan are questionable...

Guy with Stalin on his profile picture asks: what does an "perfect" leader mean?

I will add that for me the 5th pack is the most anticipated! I want to play with everyone!

The nationalist sentiments that this videogame series stirs up will never cease to amaze me.
And as love for other cultures!

ENG) I'm not good at English, so I'll use the translator.;; Everyone here is enjoying civilization and I am also enjoying it. However, I waited until 2 a.m. because I was wondering when the leader I was looking forward to will be released. Of course, it's frustrating for me to reveal it late, but I hope you don't fight over this.
