[LP] Civilization VI: Leader Pass - Discussion Thread

So when when March 2023 comes around the Leaders Pass ends will we get a teaser for Civ 7?'

Also why no Alexander II for Russia, or say Marcus Agrippa for Rome?

Russia probably because... current times, and Marcus because while he was a total mad lad, he was more of a subordinate to Octavian than an actual Leader. If Augustus did make it, though, Agrippa should totally be a Unique Governor.

Given the fact that Gorgo is leading Greece despite never really holding power, no reason why Agrippa can't lead Rome.
While true, I mean this as in he's a direct subordinate instead of just a figurehead. Gorgo probably never had any real power, but I don't believe she had any direct superiors(unless I am proven wrong). Marcus Agrippa, meanwhile, had Augustus as his emperor and direct superior, so he makes less sense than Gandhi or Gorgo.

It’s now showing in Facebook ads, not just official tweets.

The trailer says that it's included in the Anthology. I didn't buy the Anthology but rather own all of the packs/dlcs as I bought them whenever they released.

Will I get the Leader Pass for free too this way?

It's supposed to be like that, but I'm a little nervous it won't work right. I'm sure it will end up working out though.

I’m sorry but Hatfield as capital of England is too bizarre — the stately home aside, it’s a post-1945 New Town!

London is the only capital that makes sense for Lizzie. The court was mostly at Whitehall, and she liked to winter in Richmond.
I agree. I was just giving other options if people really wanted different capital for each alternate leader.
Remember how the Zulu capital used to be Zimbabwe in the earlier civ games? Those were some interesting times.
I was too young.
I want to see Nzinga list of cities. If she is leading the Kongo instead of Ndongo, I doubt the city list will be accurate.
It should be the same as the Kongo currently. However, her capital was shown to be Kabasa.

Baltimore is Hunnic for "place of an undiscovered civilization." :mischief:
I've spent some time in Baltimore, and this is accurate: they haven't discovered civilization there yet.

I'm assuming the "update" will "fix" all of my game files? I had made quite a few changes to my game files several months ago, and I can't remember all the changes I did. I'd like to get my game back to how it's supposed to be for this release. Things like changing movement values, combat strength, and resource requirements.

and I'm guessing I'll have to disable my mods too. it's been so long since I've played base game I may forget all the units and such. :)

Any word on achievements?

Can't you just use the verify files function, assuming you're using Steam?

At this point, it's unknown whether there will be changes to base game files, but it's always prudent to assume any changes made to those files will be overwritten by a game update. Your best bet would be to save a back-up of any file you've changed and run a comparison afterwards, like in Notepad++, on any file that can be seen in Windows Explorer as having been updated. You can then re-apply your changes to the updated files as necessary.

It would be a good idea to disable all mods before you start the update. Not because they'll be affected by the update itself, but they may not function correctly and cause a CTD.
