[NFP] Civilization VI: Possible New Civilizations Thread

But will she toss her oversized breasts over her shoulders? :shifty:
Let's hope they didn't take that image literally. It looks as if she has boobs growing out of her armpits.

I really hope they don't depict her with cringy huge breasts and jiggle physics.
FXS has done a decent job not fetishizing its female leaders so far (except Cleopatra who is, well, Cleopatra) so here's hoping. Oddly they decided to fetishize the male leaders instead...

Basil II is fetishized? /s

Well if Firaxis want to fertishize historical and semi-historical leader they need to produce a gacha game with anime designs for smartphones, that seems to be what sells now.
I don't think they'll fertishize any Leaders. Also, I don't find much of the Leaders to be fetishized, so it's not much of a worry for me.

Same i don't see any fetishized leader in game; maybe Gilgamesh if you into bears i guess
Cleopatra and Shaka could come to mind.

It is just for the joke, I am sure they would never do something like that anyway, being a western company they would want to be away of all the drama and polemic of that kind of design, especially involving national figures.

Ahh.. Makes sense.
And by extension Ambiorix. Overall there are a lot of shirtless muscular guys in the game. :p
At least they somewhat make sense to be shirtless.

They'd be late to the party, though. The most successful gacha game of all time and the game which started the whole gacha boom was literally about pulling historical figures turned into anime girls. Nero, Arthur, Jack the Ripper, Oda Nobunaga, Gilgamesh, Elizabeth Bathory,... FGO has it all. Besides, Civ already produced some top tier waifus, just look at the girls of the cancelled Civ Online.

Anyway, back to reality. The descriptions of a giant with long range missiles is just a literary convention of the time. A similar thing happens with the description of Liu Bei in ROTK, where he is said to have ears which are so long they touch his shoulders and arms which go all the way down to the knees. It's all iconography based on properties associated with these disfigurements.

In some cases yes. Some--like Gilgamesh and Ambiorix--are just gratuitous. (Sumerian tunics were tucked much higher. Assyrians and Babylonians wore tunics under their tunics. At no point in Mesopotamian history would showing the chest be normal. Gaulish nobleman wore expensive tunics and cloaks.)

Gilga is not much of a bear due to lack of hair... Although there is a mod to solve that.
Anyhow, I feel like she seems like skinny figure and those assets she has on the image would look unbearably weird on such figure so I think she will have realistic proportions.
Also where did people get that unblurred version?

They have quick reflexes, so they were able to quickly pause the video at the right moment... Bloody somehow.

*doesn’t play Civilization for the gratituitous sex appeal*

“Mmm, yes, history...”

Damn Jedis, ruined the dev's joy of surprising us
Yes... I believe the devs really did succeed in keeping it secret from us, but some spoilsport just had to ruin it for them. No offense meant to the spoilsport, but come on guys. Let the devs have at least one victory here.
