Civilizations Reborn

I don't understand; can you clarify?
ChoosingTeotihuacan will not succeed in entering the game QQ图片20200517203847.png QQ图片20200517203833.png

Sorry for the late reply, for some reason CivFanatics didn't update the notifications counter when I swapped to it until now. I'll get to fixing these right away.

Has anyone seen a game where the Inca actually managed to expand outside its core territory?

I've seen a handful of games where they take the Chimu. Only one where they take Tiwanaku. I may need to buff AI Inca's starting stack or worst case scenario, give them a conquerors.

Update on the previously reported crash and building issue: I have both fixed, but am putting the finishing touches on a new addition. Expect a new update by tomorrow's end.

New Civ: Yuezhi/Kushan

400 BC at Dunhuang

UP: The Power of Syncretism - +1 Culture, Gold, and Happiness from Religions
UU: Asvaka - Replaces Horseman. Does not require Copper or Iron.
UB: Gandhara School - +25% Production of non-Wonder Religious Buildings. Halved Cost.

UHV1: The Kushan Empire - Have a capital in the Hindu Kush region with a developing culture in 30 CE
UHV2: The Centerpoint of Civilization - Have trade routes with four different civilizations by 200 CE
UHV3: Greco-Buddhist tradition - Build the Salsal Buddha and eight temples by 400 CE

AI gets conquerors against Persia and Gandhara.

Fixed a negative commerce error that'd commonly cause the game to crash.

Wow you are really pumping out civs, excited to try this one!

Any chance we ever get to see Assyria and/or Ancient Israel, or do you think the size of this map does not yet permit that?

And I'm excited to hear your impressions!

I'd prefer to wait for the big map to add Assyria due to their incredibly close borders with Babylon on the current map. I'm not quite sure about Ancient Israel but feel free to give an outline. Civs are way more likely to be made when someone's made an outline for them.

Speaking of new civs, what's you guys' thoughts on adding the Scythians?

I loaded up the mod and I clicked play a scenario but the only one there is WB quicksave. What do I do?

May I have a screenshot of your "play a scenario" screen, your mods folder, and of the folder you placed this mod in and a brief explanation of how you installed this mod?

Sorry but I don't know how to send the screenshots but what I did to install the mod was download it, move it to my mods folder and rename it RFC Dawn of Civilisation

Try moving the RFC Dawn of Civilization folder to you Beyond the Sword/Mods folder in your civilization install directory. You can find this folder by right clicking on the Civ 4 exe file and selecting Open File Location. The Dawn of Civilization mod, and by extension the Dawn of Civilizations Reborn mod, don't work if placed in the My Games Mod Folder.

Great idea!
Currently "old civs" on the Middle East are peaceful before Persian appearance: mighty Assyrians could be as dangerous as Monglols in the mediaval Era:king:

I finally got to play a real game with the Olmecs. I enjoyed it, which is good news! The first two UHVs are a puzzle which took me a few tries to solve—exactly what I hoped for. The last UHV—discover Compass—may not be feasible right now. My tech level was far from it when somebody (China?) discovered it in the 800s. Maybe I should change it to "discover Compass first among civilizations you have contact with", which would mean in practice before Old World contact; or "discover Compass by year X". Or it could be something else altogether. I did enjoy playing past the normal Olmec collapse date (400 BC) and having to deal with the more powerful Maya and Teotihuacano civilizations. Have a look at this diverse Mesoamerica:

Sorry for the dumb question but what is a diplomatic mission?
There is no such thing as a dumb question, only dumb answers.

When a Great Statesman is in a city controlled by another nation, it can perform a diplomatic mission to end all temporary negative diplomatic penalties. It's akin to the Great Merchant's Trade Mission.
