I saw a "Punk-Hardcore" thread, and I really despise that kind of music, so I thought I would start up this one. I realize that World music is not always the same as Classical music, but where I am from, they are usually grouped under the same category. So, please post your favorite world or classical music pieces for others to enjoy!

My favorite Classical composer is Beethoven
9th Symphony in D minor
"Ode to joy"

RED ARMY CHOIR
"A partisan's song"
"On the March"
"Volga Boat Song"
"Meadowlands"

Linky please?

I like Cesaria Evora and Orchestra Baobab...can't remember the exact names of songs though.

YOU listen to the red army choir? Why do you despise Punk-Hardcore? Cause you can't get rich off it?

World: Peter Gabriel's Passion album

Classical:
  • Beethoven's Pathetique piano piece.
  • Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite
  • Grieg's Aases' Death
  • Frank Zappa's Boulez Conducts Frank Zappa: Perfect album.

Pictures at the Exhibition-Mussorgsky

Moonlight Sonata- Beethoven

Quoted for excellent music. I'm also partial to the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky.
