Coke or Pepsi?

Which is it that you prefer?

I generally don't drink pop if I can, I drink more high class drinks such as expensive tea and coffee, or real fruit juice.

coke all the way!
pepsi is too sweet, plus coke has a small bite to it(if it is fresh)
mountain dew is good, code red even better, Dr pepper good, vanilla coke rules!

Between the two main products, I prefer Pepsi. However, I'd drink a Barq's root beer or a Cherry Coke over a Pepsi any day of the week.

If (and that's a big IF) I drink soda, it's usually Canada Dry Ginger Ale. Very occasionally, I'll have 7-Up or Sprite, and once in a great while I'll break down and have an A&W Root Beer. But Coke or Pepsi? That stuff hasn't crossed my lips in years. Coke is slightly less disgusting than Pepsi, but the difference isn't much.

My option is not there. I like soda, but I don't like colas.

Coke > Royal Crown Cola (RC Cola) > Pepsi

Mountain Dew is probably my favorite of the non-colas.. even though it is a member of the evil empire..

In case you're wondering whether to call it soda, pop, or something else, here's a map by county in the US.
You get the "Made my day" award for that map. :hatsoff: I'm a don't drink soda..err...pop kinda guy.

Hahaha, I've been drinking coke since I was four. And as you can plainly see, I turned out quite normal.

Being branded hurts sometimes though... *sniff*

Coca-Cola, and are the Cola wars already over with in the 80s? ;).

I think I got that map off this board a year or two ago. I've also got one of religion by county, but I'll save that for another thread. Wikipedia is also a great resource for that kind of stuff.

I personally don't drink much pop anymore, (I'm from North Dakota, so yes, I do call it pop), except as mixers, or with junk food. When you order a pizza, hit a burger joint, or want to drink rum, Coke goes perfectly with it. Otherwise I drink tap water. Up to a gallon a day. Keeps the urine clear.

Pepsi by a mile!

I live in one of the very few markets on this planet who prefer Pepsi over Coke. Maybe it has to do with the fact that people here prefer to associate themselves with a blue product (Québec) over a red one (Canada). It could be an identity thing.

Also, Pepsi always made an effort to produce decent commercials in French when Coke was trying to win us over with badly dubbed commercials made for the US. Local artists were used and theme such as local slang or local pop culture were exploited.

But, above all, Pepsi just tastes better to me. I'll drink RC Cola over Coke any day too. Coke sucks!

I'm highly skeptical of those people who have a strong preference either way, they're pretty much the same thing. Hell, if you gave me a glass of each I don't know if I could tell which one was which!

Weren't you around for all these "blind-tests" they did in the early 90's? Pepsi and Coke hired some losers to hang out in malls and amusement parks and provide the young public with countless hours of entertainment.
Pepsi challenge doesn't ring a bell?
I tried and I could easily make the difference between both products. I'm not perfect as you are my good sir, but I know my cola!
Oh, btw, Coke sucks!

I was, but I was just a little preschooler.

Sorry no.

Maybe you just got lucky...

Well, I like Boylan's Sugar Cane Cola best, but you can only buy that in glass bottles from specialty stores here.

Out of the two, I much prefer Coke over Pepsi. I will still drink Pepsi if Coke isn't avaliable.

I like them in this order:
Pepis Max
SugarCaneCola
Tab-X
Pepis and Coke
Vanilla Coke
Light Pepsi and Light Coke
Dr Pepper
