Not sure where to put this so choosing this location.

We've a game started on 15.1. After being plagued by non-repeatable OOS's we updated to v16 today. Seemed to work fine at first, able with no problem to take 4 turns. Then all of a sudden a repeatable OOS happened when Aussies activated Perth (not entering city, just build-queue function). A long error sequence (see pic) showed up for Australia and Assyria but not for Siam. Siam was the one with a different value in the Sync.

Can this be fixed at all?

Cheers

I'm afraid to say I have absolutely no clue how multi-player syncing operates in Civ, so while it probably can be in principal, I'm not really your man for this one.

The bug where if you get a tech mid tern you can't build the units/buildings for it until the next turn is back. last time it was some assumption with the speed improvements. Of course a save game wont demonstrate this because the problem will go away on load.

How are you obtaining the tech? Trade?

I don't know if this is common in anyone elses game but all but two of the AI wont switch out of the anarchism government civic. they sit there with there 3 cities and 3 unhappiness and just wont switch! They are ALL up to bronze working in the tech tree. i know cause i gave them all the techs a while ago. and they will switch everything else but the government civic. Can anyone tell me why?

Did some searching. i found Koshlings fix for this in another thread

Thanks for the save game. CTD fixed and pushed to SVN. Unless you are updating via SVN you'll need to wait for a 16.1 release I'm afraid, as the DLL is tangled up with other XML changes so won't operate correctly stand-alone.

Thanks for the fast reaction

@Koshling

Can you take a look at my capital city of Rome in this save? It's in the upper 70s of population and growing by 1 every turn, even though my food surplus is only about 10-15 :food:

I'm wondering if the Granary and Modern Granary are stacking their storage bonuses. That would be 80%. Coupled with my Civic of cities requiring -25% to Grow, that might be about right. Just a theory though.

This game was started on v15, then removed it and put in v16. So all files are new except the saves. Brought over my current save via max compat at the time.

Thanks for the reply, no more WfoC. However, the game is really unstable--I can barely go 3 turns without getting a CTD. I know since they aren't repeatable, there's nothing you can do to fix them specifically, but just letting you know.

Thanks for the great work though!

Thats probably because of all the current changes that went into effect, we can't give you a complete update without giving you a COMPLETE new Version:rolleyes:. Unless you use the SVN of course.

I'll take a look later, but one thing to check is the amount of food it requires to grow (the 'Y' in the X/Y that gets displayed when you hover over the food bar). If THAT is incorrectly low then it's a bug that has been reported elsewhere but the save game doesn't help - it needs a save immediately before it happens to see what causes it (believed to be a bug with civic switches but not yet pinned down)

I updated via SVN but the crash is still there is there something that i should do(i used the method in the other post but updated my downloaded version of c2c, should i try to download a clean SVN version instead)

Yes do a complete export of the SVN, that way you get the current changes of XML and dll, then play your same game and see what happens, let us know if there is anymore errors, and thx for trying this mod.

The required amount was just over 100. So like 108, 110, etc. Every turn it grew and I would check the food and it kept showing like 105/110, or 108/115 ... in that neighborhood. So since I had a net of +13 or so food, that would be enough to push it to Growth.

Edit : Now after an improvement or two, I went from 118/110 in one turn, to 125/112 in the next!

Ok, I'll look into it when I get time

I noticed when I was debugging your WfoC that your turn times seemed to be very slow. I have now taken your game as a test case and done some performance analysis. It turns out the the game option 'Great Commanders' is a huge performance hog.

I will be pushing a fix for this to SVN later today.

Edit - turn end for this game was 91 seconds on my machine. It's 69 after the great commanders fix. I will continue to use this save for some more performance work, but that's for another day. This fix is now pushed to SVN. It won't majorly impact games in which great commanders were anyway turned off (they should see a small improvement but the vast bulk is in the GC code).

As of playing right now with the latest svn, great commanders seem to be damaged. I was playing a game in which great commanders were working fine. I updated to the latest svn, and now commanders give their bonuses, but they don't lose their command points and they also gain no experience. Any way to fix this? (note: I do not have stack attack turned on)

I think someone mentioned this awhile back, but I just ran into an error when founding the Mormon religion. Appears to be an issue with the movie.

Clicked OK about 3 times until it finally gave me a general error in the EXE file and terminated the program.

Screenshot attached of video error.

I never use great commanders so I'm not totally familiar with how they are supposed to work. Could you post a save game that is ready to make an attack that illustrates the issue, along with detail of what attack to make and what should happen and doesn't please

It is just a static picture. I can drop it for now or use the dds instead of the bik.

In the latest SVN I am getting the message "has declared war on you." often. I suspect that it is occurring when barbarians become a minor civ.
