Community Patch - How To Install

A new question:

Information about certain technology unlocks doesn't display properly for me. It seems to indicate the destination folder it's put in, says it made 6 attempts to call the method, and says "'GetBuildingInvestment' (a nil value)"

What should I do to correct this so it displays properly?

Make sure EUI is in th correct folder (your DLC folder).
 
Hi i just bought Complete Edition to play this mod but its not working:(
I enabled all 6 mods but when the new game starts i just can't complete first turn.
My settler built a city without displaying a name and pop on screen and i cant choose any tech to research becouse tech tree is not working - empty list. Can't open the civilopedia too.

Someone knows what is going on here?

Edit: i checked mods one by one and it appears that with 5/6 of them are working. The problem described above appears when I enable Community Ballance Patch - Compatibility Filec (EUI version) (v. 1)

If you did not install civ to the standard directory, you will need to make sure EUI ended up in the correct folder. Make sure it is in your civ install's DLC folder.
 
And after browsing the forums a bit, I saw the MP thread. It wasn't there when I started playing in September, guess I never checked it again. Sorry for the semi-spam, I'll try the info in that thread and leave this up as a monument to my disgrace.

Just making sure: there's no way to play with CP + CBP + EUI only? EUI requires you use CSD, CIVD, and More Luxuries?
 
Hi. I wanted to edit some unique abilities from my fav civ but unfortunately couldnt found the xml file's path in CP mod. Can you help me pls? (it's for my own personal use)
 
Hi, in my new game (11/20 version w/EUI) I cannot see city banners for any city.

Cleared cache before start and tried starting yet another new game, paying extra attention the order in which mods were loaded (not sure if this matters). EUI placed correctly.

On a whim I tried removing CityBannerManager.lua from Community Balance Patch\LUA (in the same manner as is recommended for YieldIconManager) with no change.

Any advice?

I'm enjoying myself a ton with this mod, however every 30-50 turns my game keeps crashing. Could you help me out with this? :help:

Nevermind, fixed it by re-installing both the game and the mod

I don't know what you are talking about.

Yeah I agree, but I was playing a map with pre-placed resources and no City-States, so having no EUI was very jarring.

Sounds like one of the mods in that list has a citybanner lua file in it that is conflicting with EUI. If you have debugging in ini turned on you can see the lua.log for errors.

I noticed since the latest update I am unable to found cities more than 4 tiles away, where as the default is 3, it's kinda game-breaking when playing earth maps and whatnot. The only mods I use are the CP and JFD's mods (P&P, CCC) etc.. I saw this line of code in corechanges.sql and was wondering if it had anything to with it.

This was changed some time ago. Large and huge maps have a min distance of 4. You can change this in world sql of the CBP (not at computed, can't specify location in CBP).

I see, what if I'm not using CBP and just the core patch? Guess I never noticed until now.
