Deity
hmm than the intent should be fight the AIs until they don't get LBs and tech engineering in between instead of lib race.
maybe will try it.
maybe will try it.
Pre-req would be short for pre-requisites. In the context of Civ's technologies, all but the starting techs have at least one pre-requisite technology that you must possess in order to research that tech. Some technologies have more than one pre-requisite. While knowledge of only one pre-requisite technology is necessary in order to research the following tech, knowledge of more than one pre-requisite (assuming there is more than one) reduces the research points required for the technology--so the more of the pre-requisite techs you have, the cheaper their dependent technology is to research.hello again!
i was just reading the Let's play deity from kossin (i know that's far beyond my level...) but i saw something about so called pre req(?). my english is not so good so i couldn't make up wat that acronym could mean but i did read that it could make your next tech go faster or something....
anyone knows what this is?
What is the difference between the different game speeds?
Not if you play the way TheMeInTeam does! Some people like Marathon, but be aware you are in for a LONG game.
Marathon also benefits the player by allowing him to maximize worker actions, giving him more turns of advantage, I assume.
Thought: Marathon favors war. Also, since buildings take relatively longer, builder AI's will build fewer units relative to aggressive AIs. Would it logically follow, therefore, that warmonger AI's would do better as well?
only for experienced players though, because it makes the barbs a lot tougher and the newbies tend to avoid wars.Because Marathon make warring easier and more effective, in practise it reduces the difficulty by about 1 (e.g. - an Emperor level game at Marathon is no more difficult than a Monarch game at Normal speed).
I'm pretty sure Shaka can plan at pleased, and having a common border is a huge positive factor to war prepping. Follow his SoD. If it moves overseas towards the other continent, you're probably safe. Since he's been war prepping for so long, he's probably been building a stack of galleons and frigates. On the other hand, if he lacks chemistry (unlikely, he likes his military techs), then you can sink his galleons on route with privateers. Alternatively cut off his supply lines with your own frigates or destroyers so that his SoD gets stranded and whittled down on Indian soil.
