What is the coolest thing you have ever done?by cool, I mean it is usually a bit special, thus excluding normal things.

When i was 18, just arrived to the uni in England, waiting for the coruse to begin, i had a trip to London again and went once more to the wax museum in Baker street.

There, after noticing that the place with Jack the Ripper and his victims did not have a wax figure for the unknown serial killer, i took advantage of my ambiguously victorian-looking clothes in the low light there, and just stood motionless in front of the 'Jack the Ripper' sign. Tourists would soon near me to have a closer look, at which point i would just abruptly raise my hand to check the time on my watch, making them all fall back in horror :D

Last year when I was travelling with 9 friends, I went shopping with a girl I just met. People were so amazed because I didnt seem that good at picking up a girl (I had never had a GF). To be honest, I did like her but I never confessed.
After that, people always laughed at me.

I was in Mexico, in a town with a lot of American retirees. At the same hotel were a pair of elderly lesbians from California who oddly did not speak Spanish and seemed a little flustered by it all. So I appointed myself their companion. I was about fifty, and they about ten or more years older.

One of the ladies and I were waiting outside a fabric shop while our third was shopping. An even more elderly American lady approached us on the sidewalk and addressed the woman I was with.

"Are you new in town? You'll love it here. There are nothing but rich little old ladies and," here she turned to look at me, "old men who have had facelifts."

I took off my mirrored sunglasses and said to her, "Excuse me ma'am, I am the bodyguard," and resumed scanning the street.

At this point, the lady I was in saw I set the hook and began reeling her in, "Oh yes, since John died, the nice people at Lloyd's say I have to have someone when I travel to Mexico. I think it's silly, don't you?"

We played her for a good ten minutes until our taxi arrived.

One time, someone tried a leg catch on me, so I did a spinning hook kick with my other leg. That was awesome.

I have never done anything that could be considered cooler than anything anyone else has done.

When I was a kid I stabbed myself in the head with a pencil, and it left a small mark which is still there today. Essentially I gave myself a violently accidental tattoo.

That's not so much "cool" as "really dumb", but I take a strange sort of pride in it none the less.

Coolest thing I ever did was work in a deep freeze storage facility. -17 C, so maybe not all that cool, but I thought it was at the time.

Going outside again into a warm summer day was... warming, I suppose is the most suitable word.

That's not as cool as living in Minnesota.

That's true. As I've tried to indicate, I wasn't trying to win any records for having experienced the coldest temperature known to man.

I think you've missed the point, though. I'll refer you to the title of the thread. No, no. Don't thank me. It's my pleasure to help you out.

Coolest thing I've done? Lived in the Canadian wilderness for a year by myself with some basic neolithic tools. I would do it again.

I've always wanted to do something like that. What was it like? Did you ever get sick and need help? What contact if any did you have with the outside world? How did you survive the winter and the mosquitoes?
