COTM 02: Pregame discussion

i haven't got conquest but fortunately a dud in the lab installed it in one of the computers in the lab. i guess i'll try this one. don't know how much difference there's since i've been playing PTW up to now. ..
i really hate the idea of SGL...

The SGL is not in COTM... just so you know... and ainwood u have really disappointed me. And if it does come out in 15 min and im not there becasue u said 2 hours im gonna get mad. and when i get mad... well lets just say stuff happens
 
nah, it is still a few hours away, he'd said earlier 8:00pm NZ time. I'm in aus, and it's only 2:00pm (4:00pm in NZ, I think).

ainwood, why do you need 3-4 hours? are you going to keep working on the map during the 3-4 hours? it's already deep in the night...

Hi there all you Civfans,

I realize that this is only my second post and my first on a real thread, but I am curious as to why no one is considering the Spanish? If it is just because they were in GOTM 30, then couldn't they be considered for COTM since we are kind of starting over with new things?

Specifically, we are seafairing. If you compare the alternate color of the Spanish to the screenshot, they seem to match. Also, Columbus is listed as a great leader in Civ3. So I am really confused as to why they are being ignored.

I am so :confused:. Please help me understand.:)

Personally, I like the later start time - it eliminates the temptation of staying up and starting a game when I am waaayyy to tired to think straight! ;)
 
Heck, it does the opposite for me! I will NEVER be able to resist the temptation of staying up from 8pm (yes, NZ here too) till 3-4 in the morning! I'm heading down to Wanaka tomorrrow to ski for a week so I must get my civ fix!

Looks like my comp is going to get a good workout tonight :whipped:

Ainwood, you are personally responsible for me snoring in the car all the way down tomorrow. Shame shame shame! :shakehead

Huh? - I don't see it on the site, or in a thread yet. - You're pulling my leg. You know I really don't wanna do 3rd order systems of differential equations at 1 AM local. Don't tease me!!!!
