This quoted test is horrible. That's like the question on employer's tests that say:

Alot of people steal from their job
[_] Yes *
[_] No

When the truth is, yes. Most people if not everyone has stolen something like a pen, disposable screwdriver, etc. by forgetting its in your pocket. It happens not out of intent but out of absent mindedness.

Also if you think question 6 is a way to keep people out with the intent to use espionage against the country, it wont. These people, like thieves will know the answers to the test before they take it. This test is too lame to even be funny. :p

95% -- Had no idea 'What INS form is used to apply to become a naturalized citizen?'
Same here.

Also, just to make it clear, the actual test isn't multiple choice.

100% correct. :smug:

The voting rights one was easy--there wasn't any mention of it in the Bill of Rights, so the 7th is right out.

60%, not too bad. I guess if I realy wanted to become a citizen I'd actually learn your history though, instead of just knowing the obscure facts that carried me to 60%.

90%. If only applying for citizenship were that easy... :(

Since I was born in the US, The 14th Amendment says I'm an American; the
form is irrelevant.

1. How many stripes are there on the U.S. flag?

Why would you need to know this? In case you ever needed to draw one? I'm sure people could recognize a US flag if they looked at one for five seconds sometime.

3. In what year was the Constitution written?

Does it matter? It could have been written in 725 BCE and still have the same effect on modern life... kinda.

6. What are the first 10 amendments to the Constitution called?

Two of the answers are correct. (Bill of Rights and The first ten amendments)

7. When was the Declaration of Independence adopted?

See 5.

8. Which of the following amendments to the Constitution does NOT address or guarantee voting rights?

Why would I care which amendment did what? As long as I know that they exist...

9. What are the 13 original states?

Doesn't matter. Oregon doesn't have any less influence because it became a state after Delaware did.

11. What is the introduction to the Constitution called?

Useless and biased. People who weren't educated in America would probably not know this without doing research.

16. Who said, "Give me liberty or give me death"?

See 11.

I got a 90%. Missed 8 and 20. 19 is pretty easy if you think about it.

Not an American citizen by the way.

Yep, same with me. But I think anyone trying to get citizenship would know that, as they'd have to fill it out. On the other hand, someone already here wouldn't have any reason to know that.

I got 85%.
Missed the voting rights ammendment one, the number of folks in the Congress and the last one.

wth is with stupid test, its the most basic crap you get in most any school.

well I can either have gotten a 100 with

We're you born here? YAY :D or a 95 with this stupid test.

I got 55%

The questions where rather hard. Unless, maybe, if you are born in USA. I belive that it is a very bad selection of questions. Most people will learn this stuff when they become citizens anyway.

They should have focused on moral and cultural questions instead. Such as if it is legal to beat your wife or not.

5% on a multiple-choice test? That's talent. :p
I know! :smug:
I answered something about the Constitution ammendments, something with Liberty of the Press. I just thought it sounds best for a Constitution ammendment. Then I looked on Google for some information and got 65%. I've never heard that USA had 13 states, and never bothered to count the lines from the flag.

We have 50 States now. 13 was the original count when our founders threw off the yoke of evil monarchial oppression. :D
