100%, i guessed right on the INS form question. :smug:

I got 40%

Question 2,3,6,7,9,13,14,15,16,18,19,20 all wrong

an amazing 50% seeing as i based most of my answers on what ive remembered from the Simpsons. Ohwell maybe ill become American next year :(

Easy test. I got 75% and ended up guessing on a lot of the question; I'd say that I was 95%+ sure about around 20% of the test.

I wasn't even educated about any of this - the stuff I knew I learned by following the ridiculous left vs right bs that is american politics.

don't let me enter america again, i only got 30%!

100%, but only because of a lucky guess on the INS form one.

Sorry America, looks like you're gonna be without my services for a while.

Just 50% for me, two questions I got wrong by a silly mistake though.

5% for me. I knew the answer randomly for one of the questions.

Which one did you get right? :D

BTW, I guessed wrong on the immigration form, so I got 95% (seems to be common). I had to stop and really think about the voting rights one, but I ended up getting it right.

95%, missed the INS form question like essentially everyone else. Most of the other questions were a piece of cake though.

Mirc - 5% on a multiple-choice test? That's talent. :p

65%
I'm glad the locals are all doing so well.

95%. I missed the "naturalization form" question, having never had to deal with it.

I got 75%. I got 2, 5 (I should have known this one), 13 (after thinking this one through again, I understand know why I got this one incorrect), 16 (Never heard of the guy they said said it), 18 (Another one I should have gotten correct after th Iraq war, but did not pay proper attention to the quiz). So realistically, I could have been a citizen, had I been thinking better about the questions.

I think the naturalisation form is easy. There are really only two good options from that list and since it is being a form, a petition for entry does not seem right compared to an Application.

You answered 90% of questions correctly. Here's your rating:

I got questions 5 and 20 wrong.

Why did the Pilgrims come to America?
Correct
For religious freedom

is complete bollocks.

The Pilgrims had religious freedom when they were in England.

What annoyed them was that the rest of England would not
convert to and follow the Pilgrim's variant of Christianity and
they became dissatisfied with being a minority in England.

They emigrated to the new world in a huff with a view to forming
a colony whereby their religion was, and opinions on this differ,
the (i) majority (ii) state (iii) only permitted variant of Christianity.

For religious conformity

would be a more appropriate answer.

I was thinking it was some kind of thing where the name was outdated (maybe some kind of tradition where you had to petition a king in order to become a citizen).

EdwardTking, the Scrooby Seperatists weren't quite the same as other Puritans that followed them. But, I guess religious freedom is a bit simplistic, since they certainly had religious freedom in Amsterdam. But they didn't want what they considered "sinful influences" on their lives.

I guess we Americans like simplistic answers. Just like the same Simpson episode:

Proctor: All right, here's your last question. What was the cause of the Civil War?
Apu: Actually, there were numerous causes. Aside from the obvious schism between the abolitionists and the anti-abolitionists, there were economic factors, both domestic and inter--
Proctor: Wait, wait... just say slavery.
Apu: Slavery it is, sir.

Thank you. I kne wI wasn't the only person who felt it was a loaded question.

I'm willing to bet that a lot of Native Americans couldn't pass this stuff.

So what do we do then? Dump them to antarctica?
