Craig Said to Consider Not Resigning

What's the difference in me hitting on a chick in a bar, or a library? What's the difference if a gay guy hits on guys in the bar, or does it in the bar's bathroom? I flirt and hit on girls all the time when I travel in the airport. Holy crap. Call the cops. What a crime. Doesn't what happened to Craig bother you, as a good liberal, as targeting and discriminating against homosexuals in general? If you are going to base his purging on "well he's a senator and important," then how in the hell do you get by defending what Clinton did? I mean, he actually had sex. He actually blew his load all over Monica's chest. He was accused of RAPING women. He actually committed perjury on the stand concerning his sex scandal. And the difference? Craig did his wrong in an airport, while he wasn't on the job, in something that was completely unrelated to his work. Clinton did it in the oval office, while working mind you.

Thank you. Finally someone said this after 3 pages bouncing around the real question. I mean I am a little afraid of moving to Washington D.C. next year if I can get arrested by tapping my shoes and as I know me I would probably do it just for the kicks anyway ;)

Going back to Jefferson, yeah, I do think the Dems failed in not pushing him harder to resign. And, there is a loophole that they could've used to lock him out of Congress. IIRC, there's a formality of Congressman being sworn in. There have been historical occasions of Congress refusing to swear in Congressmen and, thus, denying them their seat. However, that may be illegal by now, I'm not sure.

edit: look like downtown already answered my last question.... too bad.
Don't know if it's been mentioned, but Congress could still refuse to seat a member. There was a brief push to do that against Vern Buchanan (R-FL) back in January due to that heavily disputed election. It went nowhere, fast.

That exactly proves my point - that it gets more ratings than other types of scandals.

Well, lets put it this way. If the congressional ethics committee cant get rid of people like Barney Frank, who allowed a male prostitution ring to be run out of his own apartment, then Craig probably doesnt have much to worry over the ethics committee making threats.

Craig has lawyered up and this guy will more than likely show how many senators that have had similar prior misdemeanors against which no action was taken at all and make his case.

I mean really.....does what Craig did have any real significance when compared to say....Kennedy at Chappaquiddick?

Nah I have a feeling there going to dig into Craigs past allegations as well. Including the decades old "page gate" scandle, allegations of solitations and rumours homosexual conduct including sex in bathrooms.

Thats the washington for you gay postitute rings, gay prositute reporters, hookers gate, page underage sex, and you were worried about basketbal tickets  Iam sure your sick of this crap as well. next!
