Praise Beatlism On High
After Htletchta's enlightenment, he pushed for Elvisanity to be ended, and replaced with the worship of the Four from Liverpool, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. He named this new found religion...Beatlism, after the group the Four named themselves as. The people embraced it, for they have already seen the gifts the Four had given them. Soon, all elements of Elvisanity were gone, and rightfully replaced. The Beatles Lyric Book was copied, and now was the most common text in the Empire. All were allowed to obtain one, and to learn its contents, but one could also go to the free services. Many men devoted their life to the Four, forming themselves in their image, and traveling to the distant lands preaching the word and singing the holy songs. It was indeed a great time for Amazonia...but it didn't stop there.
Htletchta had long since past, and his son, Gwinchto, had taken his place as the Holy Emperor. His first declaration was to have a wonder built in the name of the Four, and to serve as the final resting place for Htletchta, officially Beatlism's first Grand Bishop, the highest of Beatlism's clergy. The monument was to be a step pyramid, trimmed with the finest metals and stone available. It was to be topped by an altar, where coca and sweet grass is burned to produce fumes to be consumed by the clergy, from which it was said they entered the field to meet the Four. On top of the altar would be idols of the Four, as they appeared in the field to Htletchta. Gwinchto named the monument Beatle-Itza, and the people rejoiced. Its competion would usher in an even grander era of happiness and glory for Amazonia and Beatlism.
