Guys, this might just be do-able. Englands remaining pop no longer enough, but our workers and settlers can handle that. Englands 434 tiles are enough to win, and there are also 71 unclaimed tiles!

My net turn lost 4 tanks, but I gained us 6 cities. We have a 22 Art, 15 tank, 1 army and 2 cav SoD within striking distance of London - just make sure that you keep enough defence for those wonderful artillery!!
Also 5 tanks near Hastings , and 2 that you can probably take from York on this turn, if you want. I found the "smaller" towns had mayeb 2 mech inf, maybe 1, then a tank, and spear or pikemen.
There are 16 tank, 2 art and an Inf NE of Warwick, on their way to Canterbury.

If we can keep rolling the english like this, we *might* win in the next 20 turns or so, at a guess - I hope that persia won't get space by then. We still have 14 turns on MPP, and 17 turns on lux deal. Oh - and persia are still commie.

@space... it was a difficult choice, but I think we need the prod toget those tanks, to win this game. If you look at the kind of war weariness we had toward the end of the indian war, we are going to struggling to finish off Eng.

You're probably right about cash, altho I realized I didn't try enough to place an agent in England. If we can, then tech stealing - we want mech inf, then to try and upgrade ??

Yes to both. Foreigners count the same as natives.
Workers and settlers are valid when mobilized.
 
Some thoughts on looking at the save:

Tech Situation:
Persia does NOT have Ecology yet! This means that the 6 pieces of the SS are from Space Flight, Superconductor, and either Satellites or The Laser (likely the former). Worst case scenario, the Persians are 9 turns from having all the techs they need. Best case scenario they still need to research Nuclear Power, the Laser, Ecology, and Synthetic Fibers, so conceivably 13-16 turns before they have all the techs (assuming they can research at 4 turns) ... if we're lucky, they'll research something useless like Recycling or Miniaturization in the interim as well.

Richmond and Cambridge are on their own island ... we may need to take them as well to get Domination. Looking at the Culture situation, it appears Persia is at about 75,000, and is more likely to space before 100k, but don't quote me on that.

Our inland lake has like 25-30 unclaimed tiles. We may want to rush cultural buildings around the lake (obviously only the ones that are being built).

Government: Stick with Republic as long as we can (and considering the number of luxes we have, that should be for the entire length of the war) ... the waste of Monarchy will hurt our builds too much.

Since it's going to take some time to get out of mobilization, we'll probably want to Settler-overrun the conquered areas so as to eliminate the need for Temples (who cares about overlapping tiles at this point in the game?) ... we're going to need more settlers.

Stop researching; it's useless at this point. Get cash to rush-build settlers (all on the southern continent, it's too risky to send them across the ocean) and the cultural buildings around our inland lake.

We capture Nottingham, but in the process lose our 12/12 Tank army to a 3/4 Mech Infantry.
We generate the Great Leader Tojo during the battle for Nottingham. Tojo creates another tank army.

England is counter-attacking with Longbows. They are down to nine cities. We will be racing against Persia to take the last few cities. Persia has already taken four English cities.

We are producing more tanks than we can airlift each turn. I am using transports to move the tanks next to the coast of the southern continent and then unloading them the same turn. The tanks are never left exposed on the ships. I haven't lost a transport to the English yet.

The artillery stack east of Nottingham should be moved one square further east to be in range of both Dover and Coventry. I would try to take Dover first to prevent the Persians from stealing it from us.

The stack of tanks south of Newcastle will probably not be enough to take the city. We have a large stack of artillery that was used to pound Nottingham last turn that should be moved to soften up Newcastle before the assault.

We have 69 native workers and about 50 foreign workers. I do not think we will have a problem reaching the pop limit.

Persia is still working on the same six Spaceship parts.

So, that's 100 tiles gained with 230 left to go. We could probably get another 50 tiles by settling the unclaimed land with a dozen settlers.

We still have 60 tanks. This is great. I think the rate of attrition will be lower now. So If we can end the war with maybe 50 tanks in ten turns, de-mobilise, rush a few temples, wait a couple of turns to get a few tanks on home soil then :hammer: Persia 'till the finish.

For the first time I feel we have the upper hand, and the histograph says so too.

Nah, this is a team effort, and if I finish it off on my turns, fine, if I don't no biggie. I'm going to try to play tonight; if I can't, I'll swap with you just so we can keep it moving.

Is someone able to post a screenshot of the war zone? I'd like to study it before I play (and I don't have the game at work to look at)
 
I was going to post a screenshot of the warzone last night and forgot.

Most of our artillery is under the stack near London. The rest of our artillery is east of Nottingham and should be moved one square further east to be in range of both Dover and Coventry. I think I may left them on goto.

I have been airlifting re-inforcements into London. 8 tanks should be ready next turn. We also have tanks healing in cities in the back lines.
