Considering that you have beaten an illustrious trio of most knowledgeable gentlemen, I think that is even modest of you.
One member of the illustrious trio has only submitted his answers for question 6 and part of question 10, scoring 4 points, and he will submit the rest soon, so watch out!

Excellent!
I have a very high opinion of that member (as I have of the other two in that trio), so I look forward to it... :)

A good effort by Ciceronian brings him up to fourth place!
LouLong 27
oryctolagus, Rambuchan 16
Ciceronian 11,5
thetrooper 10,5
YNCS 10
Plotinus 4
But there is still time for anybody to do something serious about this scoreboard.

Maybe, but I don't think anyone else would want to play!
You shouldn't be so sure about that, theology is an interesting subject, at least when it is presented by somebody like yourself. :)

Oh ! I was just about to post my own quizz... Guess I will have to wait...

BTW happy birthday to thetrooper !
Sorry for raining on your parade, you can post tomorrow afternoon then.
BTW it is not thetrooper but TheTrooper who has birthday today...

thetrooper drops by to confirm that it is not his birthday today :)
But thanks anyway! You're 84 days late... :)

I must say I find a bit strange the fact o keeping the quizz alive longer for people to increase their score. How can you do that without researching on the web or in books ?

I only knew three questions: Ibn Buttuta and Ibn Sina's professions and the country to which the flag belonged. I wasn't planning on submitting, but Plotinus was making such a fuss, so I just submitted those. But I did not bother guessing on anything. I don't know if that is what Rambuchan meant by quizzing style, though.

Didn't I say beware, trooper, my full submission is yet to come? I've now left behind another trio of illustrious characters.

Oh dear, somebody's afraid that 1st place might still be captured! I brought my score up from 4 to 11.5 simply by submitting only a part of the answers first and the rest later, because it is quite a large batch. You could also increase your score by guessing some answers you got wrong again. But no research allowed, eh, Rambuchan? ;)

By ransacking your head and try some qualified guesses.
Anyway 17.00 CET today is the final limit for submission. The reason for postponing was quite a personal matter.

:gripe: Look let's ease up a minute here. I accept, and was quite open about the fact that I googled my ass off when trying my first quiz here. I never tried to hide it. I accepted it was wrong and that I HAD NOT READ THE RULES PROPERLY. It was a mistake. The discussion of it took up 2 pages or so. Won't be happening again. Nuff said. :gripe: (This doesn't bother me as much as I am dramatising it into)

Oh and I sense some tremours beneath the earth. Is it that the old order is crumbling? Has the Wizard of Oz been exposed? :groucho:

@ Lou Long: Grats again. WRT late or improved answers ~ consider that more guesses can be made, epsecially from clues or your own correct answers further down the line. Often we send a quick answer sheet in, see how that does, then give our fuller answer sheet once we've seen what needs to be done. In some cases you can misunderstand the question, like I did with Q10. So once you've understood it, you can resubmit. You can also make many more educated guesses once some of the answers are known. Also there is now a separate researching quiz now, so that's where to go to get googling fixes :D.

Last news, Ciceronian improves his score to 12.
Still some hour left, so there is still a chance for anybody.
