Current (SVN) development discussion thread

None of these are intentional, it's just that the current spawn flip implementation is convoluted and weird. I plan to rewrite it in the next version, but I'll see if I can treat these symptoms in the meantime.

I think you should not add any new feature, and release the v1.12 after you done with the stability.. well v1.11 been kinda long enough already.

Am I correct to say that v1.11 was released on Jul 2013?

Could be, I remember it being summer which kind of narrows it down when talking about northern Germany ;)

I won't release the mod while being aware of fixable bugs, though. I also have to finish the AP and UN changes because I have already started them and it seems both mechanics don't work properly in this state.

New commit: modified some civic stability rules.

New commit: adjusted foreign stability rules.

I'm getting an error whenever I try to open a game. It says "error: failed to uncompress game data".

A new game? After which revision did the problem appear?

No, a saved one. I had problems after getting the new commits for stability.

I added additional saved variables, which appears to have made savegames incompatible.

Sorry, I should have included a warning about that.

Sorry, I should have included a warning about that.

Which reversion do I have to revert to to be able to use my old savegames?

Revision 712 seems to be responsible, any before that should be fine.

New commit:
- new military stability rules
- Brazil now starts with viable civics in all scenarios
- corrected the display for the Confucian URV

Crashing to desktop since update (trying to start 600AD as Russia, crashes after loading map before autoplay.)

Just tried a 3000BC Egypt game and it opens with "You Have Been Defeated" message. Something's broken.

Sorry, forgot to include a new file.

Update again and it should work.

My game keeps crashing after 410 AD (turn 168). The borders of my city expand, then the game slows down a lot and stops working.

Great!

What about Brazilian UP? You didn't like my Power of Coffee :coffee: idea?

To remind about the issue: Brazilian UP does almost nothing. It adds maximum 1-2 gold to the revenue of Oil company which is spread to 2-3 cities. It is not even very historically accurate, because Ethanol craze came after 1950, while Brazil is supposed to win by then.

Now imagine you have an ability to trade your last Coffee and still have a Coffee giving you benefits in your city screen (Brazil has only 3, while supposed to be the largest coffee exporter for almost a century). This works kind of as when you have 1 Coffee, demand 1 Coffee from your vassal, and sell your only Coffee for big money while still enjoying untradable Coffee (received from your UP). Same can work for any lux resource, especially hit Football Events -- you can sell all your balls but city screen will still show you are still keeping domestic youth happy with having 1 Hit football event :w00t:

New commit: economy civics influence economic growth.

New commit:
- fixed the Terracotta Army and possibly other wonders with hardcoded effects
- viable starting civics for Tibet and Mughals

I don't mean to be a bother, but I think this got accidentally clipped off by the new page.
