I LOVE UR DOG!!
Hope He's better of now?
But if he's still addicted, don't be greedy, share ur dose ;)

Besides there are kisd of collars for dogs that they can not bite their wounds on legs and so. May be you can get one from your vet? Looks a bit like a lampshade. (if I mean what U know)

My crazy mini-weiner dog got her first taste of squirrel yesterday after
chasing them for 2 years :goodjob: . She grabbed it after it failed to make
it through the fence, the squirrel sqealed and she let go :crazyeye: . He
escaped without harm, but man was she excited. to Evefred.

She's lucky the squirrel didnt bite her and give her rabies.

And the squirrel is lucky she didn't shake it to death, she didn't have a good
grip and I'm not sure if she REALLY wanted to catch it. :crazyeye: --- She
has been close many, many times but seems to pull-up at the last second
every time  .

Dog Update!

Well, mentally my mutt is back to his old mooching, slobbering, barking-at-3am self.

Physically, he has still got a rather raw, stitched leg that is taking it's time to heal up.

Now I just have to make sure he does not do anything mental and rip open his leg stitches.
They are in a bad place, on his hind leg side, and as you know, dogs always curl up and sit, etc.

The stitches are at a stress point - Hence my worry about the big hairy oaf damaging the wound...

:)

Good news Curt, I happy for you that he is doing better :D . Barking at
3AM :thumbdown , that would put a hurtin' on me. Mentally is the most
important thing, physically dogs are really tough, unless they are older.

Good to hear that ur dog is going great. :)

The title of the thread gave me ideas that you gave ur dog some illicit drugs and u were reporting the side effects of that experiment. :joke: But I actually found that u r sensible.

Unfortunately, a dog that we had recently had to be put down because it had a sudden seizure. The dog was healthy, or so it would seem. The vet said that it was most probably a brain tumor that caused the seizure. It was a sad day because it was how sudden the dog died that socked us. Obviously when u know that the dog is ill and needs to be put down, u can prepare urself for the course of action taken. We've had many animals die in our house before, but this was by far the saddest death of one of our animals.

We have got a new dog that is great fun to have.

That is a heavy burden.

A dog becomes a member of the family for sure - And when he leaves you in such a way it is too awful.

Facing up to the reality of terminating a pet's life is the toughest choice we face with them.

But I am pleased you have a new dog, as I reckon the joy of raising him is the best tonic for losing a previous pet.

:)

I have been away for a few days and am catching up on events. I hope the dog is ok. I know dogs hate them, but using one of those plastic "lampshades" that vets supply usually stops them nibbling where they should not.

Well, his scar looks to be healing up at a good rate.
A week on tuesday he will be getting his stitches removed.

Right now, the big pest is entrenched at the side of my desk,
waiting to mooch any errant toffee sweets from my a bag on my desktop!

Every now and then he will direct his big nose under my arm in a typical dog-like attempt to gain my attention...

...Slobber on your mouse mat is not a good thing while typing!

Gah!

:D

what kind of dog are we talking about here?

i knew this weird old guy who used to blow hash smoke on his cat after it had injured its paw,to keep it mellow and in one place!

also once i had a pitbull at my place for 3 days,it was huge for pitbull and i knew the owner used to get him high on hash, but i didnt, anyway that was the nicest coolest dog ive ever seen,i fell completely in love with that mutt!

The drugs I meant were the knock-out gases used during his tumour operation!

Just stay there while I call the cops!

;)

Glad to hear your dog is A-OK!
My cat is always with wounds of fights with others.Really funny when you are trying to sleep ;)
