DaNES I: At the Precipice

oh and an eye for an eye is perhaps the stupidist rule ever to exist.
Decloak: Not if the number you have remaining after mutual annihilation is at least 2, and the number the opponent has is ≤ 1... the phrase sets no condition on how many eyes either implicit side has. As long as your side has more and you go last it's rather quite a fine idea. Only a detriment to the foolish and incompetent. ;)

+10 nerd points for guessing who I've stolen the likeness off. Also my poor and semi random use of a translation site should be amusing to das at least :).

nah. Face seems familiar yet I cant guess.

...

Eh, vaguely reminiscent of Daisuke Aramaki, but not quite I think.
Decloak: You're surely joking. He doesn't even wear glasses. Hell, Dr. Strangelove is a better guess than that. :p

I wanted to say Asimov....but he looks a bit different.

It is war you have chosen. Whether you respect us is of little consequence, but the number of planes, ships, and men we pour into defeating you is of great consequence. The joy we will feel in crushing you shall only be eclipsed by the pain we will feel for your people, as they have had to suffer your incredible incompetence.

To: Spain

While our hatred towards Spain is great, we are still willing to cease war against your people if you cede all of your Asian possessions to the Empire of Japan immediately.

We enjoy your joining into the Alliance. We wish you well in your destruction of the Entente over seas possessions.

Well, I really can't say that I have any support for the overdog's case here. The Entente is much more interesting to watch. A heroic struggle against the forces of inevitability.

Heroic my arse...they are a victim of the GA's superior planning right now.

Nah now it's time for crazy schemes. Also absolutely shoddy performance by the British. I mean losing THREE Aircraft Carriers? I mean who is the Supreme Commander...General Melchett?

Judging by the luxury yacht about 50 miles behind the battle, I would think so.

Also, look at the fun stats and tell me where I messed up.

Shouldn't I have at least 50 EP per year by now?

Anyway, good update. Looks like I'll need to send out more stormtroopers.

I didnt want to say this but I cant meander around it anymore. Entente just lacked a few experienced players(not you Toltec or Darkening) on it's side and this war would be far more interesting and probably longer. Not to mention the lifespan of the NES would be prolonged since after this war....really what will there be to do. Anything that could threaten GA will probably be crushed the minute it forms under vigilant PC nations.

Polarization within the GA is likewise unlikely.....unless the soon to be behemoths Germany and Japan team up on the USA which again would lack sufficient IC reasons.

Could have I preformed better myself? Probably. But my nation is of limited influence.

OOC:
It would be interesting if Russia got it's act together and joined on the side of the Entente?

If the Entente communicated more, it would also be more interesting. From what I could tell of the discussions between me and Thlayli, the GA has a pretty good handle on what each member is doing, leading to overall efficiency. But, whatever, it is better for my overall plans if Britain dies a horrible death :)

No, the GA formed its alliances, kept its peeps together, and coordinated a strike. Stop whining. :D

EDIT: Oh, and the war isn't over. Public opinion is a crazy thing, if the Entente holds out...things could get messy.

From: Spain

You cannot expect Spain to willingly and freely give away her possessions. We have stated many times, the submarine attack was an incident and we have promised it won't happen again. This is no reason for you to suddenly throw away all ties to your former enemies and then bring war upon us. We are willing to give up the Philipinnes for 4 ep. We would prefer to set up the Philipinnes with their own government, however.

ooc: I feel that japan is acting out of character, I mean they were our friends and they shut out any of their former allies and suddenly declare war, I mean yes Italy turned on the central powers but that was because a clear invasion of Belgium and mistreatment of the populace, and even at first they were neutral for a little bit. I mean come on what leader would have a change of heart in hardly any time at all, it took america years to side with the allies, a group they were obviously supporting for years in WWI.

You'd be right.

Also, look at the fun stats and tell me where I messed up.

India's confidence should be lower, down two points, to... wow. Hateful, now.

Am I the only person with Nation Personified for confidence?
