Dark Side of the Rainbow- Have You Tried it?

There is a popular thing to do with the CD Dark Side of the Moon, play it with the Wizard of Oz. Strange. check it out here

I'd want to try this out saying that it's like a music video. I'd just want to hear the reaction if any of you that have tried it.

It was actually the first time I heard DSOTM all the way through as an album. Twas amazing

They did this at my university once. I found the connections weren't as good as they always say - a lot of the stuff was off by several seconds (including the famous 'Money'/switch to Technocolor) and some of the connections were tenuous at best, so it is probably just a coincidence. Although it was the only time I've heard the whole album, which is quite good.

Eran is pretty much right. The only real connection I found was with the girl in the beginning riding the bicycle and the machine clanking after Breathe (I think it was after Breathe). My experience would have been far enhanced if I were baked, which I believe is the root of the rumor.

If you synch it up EXACTLY and only watch through the first time (i.e. up until the Strawman) it's pretty impressive

If you play DSOTM backward begining with the house landing in Oz, it is even more incredible. Not only can you clearly hear Dorothy say "Paul is really dead," but as when they are at the gates of Oz the guard says "I'm the piper at the gates of dawn."

hehe... I should qualify my statement.

I acknowledge that Pink Floyd was an important band, and that they were original, and that their music was overall pretty good.

What I don't like about Pink Floyd is the entire poser-posse that is attatched to them these days. Ya'll know who I'm talking about. It's the kids who wear (nearly always black) shirts with madviking's avatar on them, and those stupid Led Zepplin shirts, sometimes accompanied with a trashy looking black zip-up hoodie or a dingy black leather jacket. Its the kids who love to throw out facts like "did you know [insert some pink floyd band member] was on shrooms when he made this song" or "did you know that [insert some song] is really about dropping acid".

Those worthless idiots basically ruin pink floyd, led zepplin, and most other classic rock bands.

And by the way Pink Floyd were not just "pretty good." I rank them on the same level as the Stones, the Beatles, and Led Zep. Just listen to that kick ass guitar solo in "Money."
