JDS Hiyo, offshore Appari, Philippines- The Japanese Naval, Army, and Airforce Defense forces launched a coordinated attack against our southern neighbor, The Philippines, a few days ago. The attack, code named operation Fall River began with the 1st Carrier Squadron in the north led by the two carriers the JDS Hiyo and the JDS Amagi. While the southern landings on the island of Mindanao were supported by the 2nd Carrier Squadron led by the carrier JDS Shianao. The first landings of the operation was the Army of Honshu landing near Aparri, Luzon after an intense bombardment of shells, missiles and bombs by the Japanese 1st Carrier Squadron. The army was quickly pinned down on the beaches and many hundreds, if not thousands died, despite all these casualties little progress was made on the advance inland towards the Filipino capital of Manila, as bitter house to house fighting occured in Appari and intense warfare in the forests surrounding the town. A few days later the second phase of the operation went ahead as scheduled; The invasion of Mindanao by the Army of Kyushu supported by the Japanese 2nd Carrier squadron, the army initially met little resistance after the intense bombardment by the fleet, and they advanced several hundred miles inland towards Davao before the Filipino army launched a major counterattack outside Davao's city limits. The Japanese army with it's stretched supply lines and failure by the Japanese Air Defense force to put the Filipino gunships out of action ultimately led to the defeat and prompted an ordered tactical withdrawal by the Japanese Major General to get the army into a better defensive position to encounter the large hordes of Filipino savages, whom they knew were going to be fighting with fierce resistance.

When are our orders due? Saturday isn't April 7th. Do we just assume they are due on the 7th?

Volunteerism rates for the Military and for other American Organizations are at an all time high. The Military is also receiving a large dose of volunteers, “Some of the young cultural Cubans are extremely militant about a Free Cuba” said Major General Alexander Shelby, commander of the First Army. “We also received a significant amount of support in the South. In fact, our funding for the Marines achieved thrice the affect, mostly due to donations and the hard work of our new recruits.” This Volunteerism is the Result of a new, global outlook of the United States.

Smuggled Photos that First Explained the Disappearance of the Guantamano Brigade
With the liberation of the Guantamano Brigade from Cuba, President Powers meet with the survivors on ABC Today. There, they shared tales of torture within the fortress after its storming by the Cubans, and of the suffering of the Cubans civilians outside of Guantamano before the raid. As President Powers stated, “This torture of the Guanamano Brigade is but one of many such actions of the Castro Socialist Dynasty who still rules over much of Cuba. I fully support the ousting of this regime.” With the major success in the south and the liberation of Guantamano, major marches and organizations appeared to support this action to free Cuba.

A Family Reunion in the South Between an Escaped and a Trapped Sister
The Cuban Exiles have formed a tight knit community in Florida since the original Fidel Castro has taken over the Cuba. With the south liberated, and while fighting was still occurring, Cuban Volunteers have already landed at Guantamano and helped out their homeland. “It is a matter of right and wrong” said Jose Mendez, who worked with his fellow Cubans during a leave, “Cuba needs to be a land free for Cubans, not of modern slavery.” Already over 17 million in donations have reached Cuba, as well as about 30,000 volunteers. The towns of Gordonsez and Quentara have already been rebuilt, and new roads are being paved. “We plan to apply for citizenship to the Free Republic of Cuba after the war” spoke Alberto Chavez, “Me and my family have been waiting for generations for this chance.” Although the area is still under Military Law, capitalism is beginning to flourish in what was once one of the last Bastions of Socialism.

War in Cuba!

A Squad in the 3rd Division Infantry Receive Briefs Before Pushing West
The war in Cuba goes well. Of the thousands of missiles they sent, only few struck their targets, notably a glancing blow at the USS Guardian of Peace, a supercarrier, and the USS Florida, a destroyer that was sunk. In other news, the landing took place after a diversionary attack at Guantamano Bay. Striking northward of the Cuban Forces, the 1st Army managed to cut off about a third of their army in the south. After a week of bombing and fighting the remainders surrendered. The rest of the week was spent securing the city of Holquin.

Canada Paper Incorrect, Outrage in Northern Cities

American Comic-writers poke fun at initial Canadian attempts to fix the problem… with a handwritten ‘Not’ in front of ‘Mistaken’
The Canadian Herald clamed that American Strategists mistook Holquin for the Cuban Capital, however, released low-security files shown that the American Goal of the first weeks of war contained nothing about Havanna, the capital. Strikes against the ubiquitous Canadian Paper have occurred in New England and the western Rust Belt, and the American Government pressured the Canadian Government to make sure that the Papers report as close to the truth as they themselves claim to do.

A World of War
The Secretary of State issues a general proclamation for all states to declare reasons of war. Although many states have ignored the international law, now almost defunct, the United States have yet stood as a pillar of righteousness in a world of conflict.

We do not have declare all our nation's intentions to you. But regarding the Philippines, they had a dreadfully corrupt and generally totalitarianist government. While claiming to be a "democracy" that can be easily shown otherwise.. Though the main reason can be cited in the attack against a Japanese destroyer the JDS Hiei which was sailing past the Philippines on it's way to a goodwill visit to the Austral Union, the attack killed many Japanese sailors, and was seen with outrage by the Japanese people..

Nor do we ask of it from all actions. But knowing that actions that affect many have at least some logic behind it is good for humankind as a whole. Thank you.

Scandal in the War Room

It has been realized that, in Mexico City, an important document has been altered. What was supposed to be a smooth pincer attack with America against Cuba was doctored by an unknown indivual to read that the two would share the same landing zone. "This has put us back by at least a month. We could have gotten Havana by now, but now we have to fight a supplied Cuban military", said General Luciano Curro, "We are obviouslly fire the person who changed the document". Also, the indivual responsible most likely took money aimed for relief funds to Cuban families were stolen, but without a trace until the budget was looked at.

Mexico: Future in Space?

The Deceased Rodolfo Neri Vela, the first Mexican in space, in his NASA uniform

Plans have recently been announced to start funding the proposed Agencia Espacial de México (AEN). Citing that India has treated their own space agency, called a joke 20 years, to the point that they overtook NASA, scienctists have called for Mexico to found their own one, or be left out of the dust.

"Even with the war in Cuba, there is no excuses not to fund this", says the Mexican Academy of Sciences. "Why let America or India take all the credit of new discoveries? If we make our own port, our own planes, we will not be left out of the race. Perhaps we can even ferry some citizens of other countries on our spaceplanes, like how America did to Vela in 1985". Others, like the Liga de Los Latinos (A Pan-Central American movement), claim that Mexico could deploy weapons in space, although the MAC has an offical policy of keeping space neutral.

Virginia Aberquero denounces UIR on "Hell's Highway"

Saudi Troops marching into battle

President Virginia Aberquero has given a stern dissaproval of the attack on civilians in the ongoing Saudi-UIR war. "Under no reason should non-combatants be attacked in any conflict. What the UIR did is a direct violation of multiple international treaties, including the Geneva Convention. I urge the Congress to enact a military goods and Oil embargo on the United Islamic Republic." While neither of the embargos would do much if passed, it would be more of a symbol of disapproval.

Upon news of the massacare, many Mosques around the nation had special services for those killed. Some protest groups have sprung up, mostly in colleges, demanding the UIR to make an offical apology. However, the Cuban War occupies the mind of more people, due to the relevance it has on the people.

(I've just read the Mexican Consitution, and I'm shocked to the similarities of it to the American Constiution. It's almost like if the American Constitution is a tl;dr version of the Mexican one, with a few different rules, like a forced 1-term on Presidents and how Congressmen can only be elected every other election)

To the World
From the UIR

The incident in Saudi Arabia was nothing more than a misconception, fueled by the Saudi mishandling of the situation. We warned them that any sort of military maneuver during the civilian evacuation would not be tolerated. Their use of military equipment quite rightly sent a warning to the UIR forces that a ruse may be in effect.

The UIR is willing to pay reparations for the incident, and wish to apologize for the event.
