DarthNES II - Superpowers

Can I still grab the Aussie union?

Never tried one of these before so if I could be linked to a good explanation article that would be nice.

The Japanese nation and people wish to build closer economic ties with your nations seeing as we all have immense trade with each other and to a certain extent depend on each other for various products, so we wish to propose some sort of East Pacific Economic Committee to help further grow out trade and mutual economic benefit that is gained between our nations. This Committee could also be used to sort out any economic disputes that would occur and find a solution which may benefit all nations involved in the talks. We are greatly interested in what your ideas may be on this idea..

We shall attend any such conference or committee.

Am I doing it right?

We accept you're offer and join the Committee.

We are unsure of what such an agreement would entail and are not able to decide one way or another until the terms are made more clear.

We are deeply sorry for any confusion but basically this Committee will consist of the Asian nations which will work together to help each other advance economically (Setting tariff rates- or even abolishing them..etc.) Another major thing we were thinking would be a yearly meeting in one of the members' cities to discuss solutions to any problems which may have occurred during the past year. Also we see this as an opportunity to resolve any economic tensions which may be present in the area.

uhm, I was wondering here what's the point with every nation being in dept right from the start. It kinda slows down the progress, and I think we all want to get into the thick of action asap, aye mates? (maybe give us some extra credits to make moar armies etc...)

I feel like I said it before, but the idea of the debt is that it took serious spending to get to the positions the world's powers are presently in. But no worries, everyone could get out of that debt in two turns if they wanted.

Darth, I notice no transport vessels listed in the purchasable troops. Does that mean that all the ships can transport our armies? If so how many/ship?

A fleet can transport one army. It wouldn't be individual ships ferrying troops.

Taking the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Assuming that China is still communist:

That's a negative, Ghost Rider. China is now a capitalist nation.

I think NESing is taking a bit too much time for me, so I'm withdrawing from it in general except keeping in touch with some people.
Consider [Brazil] open, and good luck with the game : )

I still need Update 0 orders from China, Vietnam, the Austral Union, Nigeria, the UIR, and Argentina. Make sure to get those in by tomorrow. I'd also like to get a player for Brazil.

We do not wish this to become a contention between our powers, but rather act as a stepping stone to achieving a peaceful future.

We will join your proposed Nuclear Weapon Ban Treaty, and encourage other nations around the world to do the same in order to prevent nuclear war from actually breaking out.

We propose a mutual defense agreement between our three states. This agreement can only be terminated upon agreement of our three glorious nations, and we will only assist each other if we find ourselves in a war in which we are not the aggressors.

While it is admirable that you are trying to keep the peace among your neighbors, it seems that those you are protection are dubious of your announcement. I hope that the former statement also percludes your own interests as we will assume.

We apologize if our declaration was improperly worded; by no means is this a formal directive to be followed as if you were our subjects or vassals. Rather, it is a hope that we can cooperate formally in our mutual defense, should it be necessary.
