DarthNES II - Superpowers

To USA
From India

I suppose we're OK with that - there are other ways of getting off this planet.

Oh, I think the posts were still reserved and not up with the info, but I've got it now. Thanks.

No, unit costs were up the same time the rules were. Everything was up there before you joined...unless you waited more than 24 hours to ask that question.

Done.

Also, only the Austral Union and Vietnam are still open. If they are taken by Wednesday, you all get cookies.

(waves hand)

uhm, I was wondering here what's the point with every nation being in dept right from the start. It kinda slows down the progress, and I think we all want to get into the thick of action asap, aye mates? (maybe give us some extra credits to make moar armies etc...)

Darth, I notice no transport vessels listed in the purchasable troops. Does that mean that all the ships can transport our armies? If so how many/ship?

Thanks for the welcome Darth.

EDIT: Nevermind, redundant post.

To the USA
From the Republic of Indonesia

We regret to inform you that we will not sign your treaty at this time. While it would be unfortunate if these weapons are used, we can't leave our nation undefended against others who seek to possess such technology.

To the Republic of Indonesia
From the United States of America

Again, we understand your fears. It just makes prevention of nuclear weapons harder for those who do sign and see more and more of you using that excuse to go for power and not for justice.

Taking the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Assuming that China is still communist:

To: China
From: The Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Brothers, we greet you with warm affection. As two of the remaining bastions of the revolution, our countries must uphold close ties in order to protect ourselves against outside threats. Therefore, we propose a Chinese-Vietnam defensive pact, as well as possible research cooperation.

From the Republic of Indonesia

We are sympathetic to your goals but are not convinced that you have enough participation in your treaty to make it anything but a liability.

If you can secure the pledges of 7 other nations including your own, we shall follow suit provided that the treaty includes a provision for all signers to retaliate immediately on any country using a nuclear weapon against any of the undersigned.

To the United Islamic Republic
From the Republic of Indonesia

Brothers in Islam, peace be upon you. In order to ensure the security of Islam in the world we must protect ourselves from the heathens beyond our borders. As such, we would like to propose a defensive pact between our two nations.

To: Argetina
From: Mexico

As two great powers of similar background of enthicity and politics, it seems natural that we should seek closer bonds. We propose a defensive pact, and are willing to listen to any suggestions from Buenos Aires.

Canada already confirmed that Nafta will still be ongoing. Will you confirm as well?

To the Rest of the World
After I have received word from any and all interested nations, we will draft the treaty and sign it, and open it up for any further signatures. You can be interested and not sign, but if you are not interested, then you cannot affect the proceedings until after it is revealed.

Indeed! Your words of wisdom are pleasing to us. Let it be so, we shall sign a defensive pact with one another.

To: America
From: Mexico

We shall, but we need to work out the ongoing ilegal immigration of Mexican citizens to the US. Namely, we need those job-seekers back home for our own economy.

We hear of your concerns. However, there are no easy way to do this as they have already earned much from our economy, although they have not received as much benefits due to the recent Constitutional Party backlash (read: tea party). If I offer them clemency if they surrender themselves to police and then get out, would you support that act by making sure they are safely back in mexico?

Also, I will make immigration easier, so it is easier to get here legally.

To: The United States
From: Japan

We are refraining from signing your Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty.. But we would like to have the possibility to re discuss the American-Japanese alliance of the last century, if you are interested in such an offer please contact us via more private channels. (PM)
