What a pity his curriculum doesn't seem to have included anything about common courtesy.

"Elitist" = Uppity, arrogant <snip>s who don't know their place. (At least as it applied to the President during the 2008 cycle).

When you are doing bad ass researches, trivial things like normal courtesy are just ignored.
BTW, aren't all universities "liberal" by the definition of the word in American politics? Therefore, an ardent conservative has no choice but to drop out.

Since I'm not American and find American politics baffling at best, I couldn't say. But in Canada, there are always faith-based colleges or universities if they can't stand the regular ones and don't mind being questioned as to why they would attend an institution that is allowed to violate students' Charter Rights.

That would be nice to go to some conservative seminary and get a degree on Theology, and preaching the same thing as taught long time ago.

Some of them are Catholic, but to the right kind of conservative, that's probably worse.

Some of them here can produce some really strange people.

Awhile back, there was a Trinity graduate who applied for a job as a wilderness guide with a Scandinavian outfit called Amaruk (they were originally based in Europe but were operating in Canada). The company's website made it very clear that guides had to pass rigorous exams for physical fitness and outdoor survival skills, and that their preferred clientele were men who preferred same-sex relationships.

So unsurprisingly this woman's application was rejected (she didn't have the requisite test scores), and she promptly went to the media and screamed about discrimination. She had received a letter from the company explaining why she was rejected, and they were honestly curious as to why someone who had attended Trinity (a faith-based Christian university) would apply for a job with a company she knew was geared to serving clients who were definitely not of her faith (they said they preferred the traditional Norse religion of pre-Christian times), and her response was a scathing letter that was mostly preaching.

It was all quite amusing, as this unfolded over several days on the CBC website. The end result was public humiliation for her, and Amaruk no longer operates in Canada (to my knowledge).

Elitist: someone who has so little skin in the game that they discuss politics on a gaming forum.

(Yes, I am an elitist. I just try to be humble about it.)
