I'd also like to know a bit more about it, though only notionally, because really I can't think of anything (plausible!) that would stop me from wanting to buy it. Is it wrong that I kind of want to buy it for the production queue alone?

Speaking of Hall of Fame, I wonder if I can use it with my old save games as I always keep a turn before (or turn of) victory save in my save games folder. I want credit for all those games.

Me too... but my guess is, those games will start on the old versions still ;-(

I will not pay $40 for an expansion pack. EVER. I'll pick it up when it's $30. If that takes a year? No problem, I've started not buying anything that isn't at least a year old anyway.

i'd pay full price for a sid meier's civilization game, but i'm not too interested in ed beach's sim city

Yep. Especially since in Argentina it's $12. Our currency just devaluated 100% a few months ago, so it's still quite a bit of money, but definitely a great deal.

After being somewhat disappointed by Rise and Fall, I am not going to preorder this one, even if it looks great (and actually comes with scenarios, unlike Rise and Fall).

I have not preordered yet. But that has nothing to do with my excitement for the game. Will buy in januari probably as november and december will be tough on my wallet.

For now i’m pretty busy with eu4, magic the gatering arena. Plus battle brothers is coming up in like one week. I’ll keep myself busy till feb 14th. Best medicine for waiting on a game you like is to playing other pc games.

Yep. I paid full price and am happy about having it on my Steam que waiting for release. I figure if something weird happens, it will happen to everyone. With this 20% off place, who knows.
