Well, I can name every single Roman Emperor, both birth name and used name, I know the top ten movies of each year since 1923, I render thesauruses and dictionaries useless because I know every synonym of every word, and I spell every single word correctly.

But don't ask me if I'm using Google. And even if you do, I won't tell you.

You don't have to CoCo I already know In fact using google just proves that You are intelligent There are lots of definitions for intelligence. Personally I think the definition that states that more intelligent person deals with the given "problem" or "puzzle" better and more efficient than less intelligent person is correct definition

Good points but as I see it: An intelligent person is more inclined to play a good strategy rather than a brainless fpp shooter with a zombie theme This also doesn't mean that intelligent person would't like a brainless shooters ! Sometimes intelligence needs a break or else most of us would go insane

People who own computers and have internet access are more geeky than average. It's not limited to CFC. I would guess that the regular posters on websites like Slashdot and TechRepublic are even geekier than most people on CFC.

Civ is a fairly complex strategy game = users are more intelligent than those of codfanatics.com

CFC is a forum based around the series Civilization. If the Civilization series appeals to a certain demographic then it is only natural that the fanforum of that game series is populated by that demographic.

The real question is then, does the Civilization series appeal to smarter than average people?

There are a lot of smarter than average strategy gamers around but I don't think you could say that all or even the majority of civilization players are smarter than average. Unless you mean that playing civ makes you smarter. That's debatable. It might help you develop a strategic mindset. I'm not sure how that would work for solving problems like what you would find in college.

I mostly still play civ on Emperor or lower levels. So I'm sure that there are many civ players who are better at the game than I am. Does that make them smarter than me?
