Eh... This is super-dumb.

but it happens to be right in front of the palace where the PM lives , right ? Guarding it , as the newspapers and stuff go . Actually defended with reports of Gökçek , the mayor , describing it as a Transformer . Not familiar with the genre at all , but ı think it's more of a Zaku from Gundam . Things happen in Turkey , what can ı say ?

It looks a bit like that 'Mad Hurricane' robot, from Jumaru :D

Here is Jumaru, (80s japanimation about nerds having a robot-fighting tournament) btw:

Edit: NM, Mad Hurricane looked far cooler as well:

Deserving its own post, cause i found it hugely funny:

Given the statue is visible from Erdogan's palace, some poster in TWC commented on the robot:

TWC poster said:
It's his new body when he dies. Cybergodan.

:rotfl:

Cybergodan!

Yeah, it's definitely inspired by early Zeon MSs like the Zaku and Gouf.

Well to be frank, that statue seems to me like a manifestation of the degenerate and perverse culture of western capitalism, totally unfit for the capital of a serious country. I would absolutely hate a thing like that in my town.

I do like Cybergodan, though

What on earth do they mean by that?

Eh, personally i thought that the pun likely was meant (?).
A republican president died, and the country is 'indebted forever'. As in trillions of spiralling debt :p

Maybe it was not conscious though, but it is still funny.

(the tie to KKK democrats is more obvious/meant, of course).

Didn't know the MRA constituency was that significant.

I'm willing to bet they haven't realised Twitter has a character limit and just kept typing. But that's hilarious.

113, 114, 115... Yeah, you're right. Even counting the spaces. I don't know whether spaces count in the twitter limit or not.

117 is the limit if you include a link.

Maybe they are glad that Lincoln was assassinated because they are happy about the 14th and 15th amendments, which would not have passed if Lincoln have lived long enough to prevent the Radical Republicans from demanding more Reconstruction before the Southern States could be reintegrated into the Union?

Somehow I doubt that is their reasoning though.
