Anyone keeping up on the E3 news? Today was the Microsoft press day, and they had a really good conference, with the biggest news being that Final Fantasy XIII will be released on the 360 the same day as the PS3.

Don Mattrick says the biggest sellers are on 360. Mentions GTA IV, Bioshock, Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Scene It!

Mentions GoW2, Fable 2, Fallout 3, RE5 as big titles this year.

Todd Howard of Bethesda is demoing Fallout 3. Says there are over 100 hours of gameplay in Fallout 3.

Capcom's Jun Takeuchi introduced the first public gameplay demo of RE5, and online co-op is announced.

Peter Molyneux: "Fable 2 is finished" - co-op over Live in Fable 2, no lobbies, no menus - just pop in, pop out. October 2008 release date confirmed.

Gears 2 trailer and demo with co-op campaign. November 7 release date announced.

Lots of Live stuff, with something called Avatars. They look just like Miis with a bit more detail. They also added channels, based around a "Live Party". Netflix subscribers can watch movies via Live.

Geometry Wars 2 announced - coming next month. Galaga Legions announced for XBLA. Bandai's sequel to Galaga. Will come to XBLA exclusively next month.

Portal Still Alive is announced.

Nuts and Bolts and Viva Pinata 2 trailer. Banjo XBLA announced.

Scene It Box Office Smash is announced, and will be using the Avatars.

You're in the movies announced, it uses the Vision camera and is mini-games.

Guitar Hero: World Tour with Metallica's next full album.
Rock Band 2 - Shackler's Revenge from Chinese Democracy, over 100 of songs. All of Rock Band 1 tracks will seemlessly integrate into Rock Band 2. These can be exported so there will be no need for disc swapping.

President of Squre Enix, Yoichi Wada, is talking about the strong partnership they have built with MS: Star Ocean, Infinite Undiscovery, Last Remnant AND Final Fantasy XIII.

Tomorrow is Nintendo's conference. Expect some news about Animal Crossing Wii, the new Wario game for the Wii, Kirby for the Wii, Star Fox Wii, and perhaps the next Zelda game.

It actually wasn't that great of a press conference (the dancing clown and the horrible performance by Duffy come to mind), until they delivered that swift kick to the nuts of Sony at the end there. PS3 fanboys are still reeling from that announcement.

Gawd, the Nintendo conference was a disappointment. Nothing really got me excited.

Oh well, the Sony press conference is in half an hour. Let's see if they have anything up their sleeve.

Well Sony's conference is over. Notables include, 80gb PS3 for $399, the new Resistance game, a CG trailer for GoW 3, and a BF 2142 clone called (I'm not kidding) Massive Action Game that boasts 256 player squad based combat. The conference was actually pretty boring to watch although the part where they used Sack Boy from LittleBigPlanet to pimp graphs and charts was kind of a neat touch.

I think MS won the press conference battle, but that's not saying much, since they all weren't that spectacular. Hopefully there will be more to get excited about on the show floor in the next couple days.

I think mine will start gathering dust as well. MK Wii was the last worthwhile game to come out and there isn't much that looks good coming up on the horizon.

That's pretty cool, but the real highlight of E3 was the Duke Nukem Trilogy trailer.
