Earth 2010 PBEM

Holy Governing! Thousands of years the Muslims have fought among themselves and a simple election puts an end to it in mere weeks. We congratulate their Leader and each and every Free Muslim.

There is a point I have been wanting to make some time ago but somehow missed it
England = David_Cameron, France = Nicolas_Sarkozy, Germany = Angela_Merkel, in addition the EU = Herman van Rompuy(AI Vassal)
Together they form the European Union that is lead by Sir E. Clipse, which the EU is part of

Sir E. Clipse acts much like a Union in the fact that he Represents all of them, in turn they fill him in on decisions they make individually and if Sir E. Clipse regards this decision as bettering all of Europe it stands, but if it is a one sided he would intervene and propose something a bit more for Europe than just their own country.

As our respected U. N. Leader recently pointed out that the French and German border are so close, the effect must be very bad for Germany. If Germany was to act completely on its own they might be very angry with France and start fighting over that border. But Sir E. Clipse was there to assist on a compromise of trades etc. and nullified the dispute.

It is agreed by all that "Together they are a Stronger Union" and relations with the Muslim Confederacy's and United Nation and the rest of the World is simplified

Unfortunately no trade can nullify the lack of food in Hamburg, for example, or to put it in more realistic terms -- lack of babies in Germany as compared to France.

Germany has a big demographic problem. After 2020, overall German economic growth will fade away because of the country's shrinking population. In other words, German factories make more Beemers -- but French families make more babies.

Well, I am not completely role playing here, sometimes its user Tigranes sharing his thoughts about current affairs, inspired by some developments in our game. I really like NPR radio programs, I heard this story while I was driving to work and was able to find the transcript online. There was another story about declining population in small German towns. In some places town officials asking remaining citizens to flush toilets for no reason -- just to keep the sewage system working. You see, when population drops down to the certain level in some areas the sewage system does not get enough water to function properly. This was reported awhile ago and I cannot provide you with any links, sadly...

We, the Chinese people, do not understand the Europeans concerns about the decline of population... the problem of the world is the increasing population...

The Chinese leader is resolving internal issues and has not been active in the stage of the UN but some complicated diplomatic arrangements are being finalized...

Please don't take anything serious I write, I work on the moment, sometimes I'll respond to something without knowing the hole picture.

I think Role Playing is pretty cool, this game very cool. What I was trying to say was I just wanted a heads up when you are looking for a response :mischief:

There's lots to talk about in this one :goodjob:

sechin-putin.jpg

Quick Info: Igor Ivanovich Sechin, often described as one of Putin's most conservative counselors and the leader of the Kremlin's Siloviki faction, a statist lobby gathering former security services agents. Sechin acts as the boss of Russia’s gigantic state oil company Rosneft.

Private traditional Russian Bathhouse (Banya) in Kremlin. Temperature inside exceed 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93 degrees Celsius). Prime Minister Putin lays on the wooden bench, his back and the continuation of the back red and naked. Oil boss Sechin hits (massages) his big boss with bunches of dried branches and leaves from white birch. This is done in order to improve the circulation of blood in such a hot environment.

P. Easy, Igoryok, easy... You hit me too hard! So what happened to our Oil deal with Iran?
S. It got canceled, boss...
P. How come? It is hard to find an AI civ that wants to trade Oil with you. I was so happy with the Iranian deal we cut few turns ago!
S. I know boss, but offshore platform in the Persian Gulf decided to do business with Saudis and the mainland Oil well in Iran was somehow destroyed, perhaps by Osama bin Laden himself! Or maybe it happened because of war with China...
P. Oh boy... So Iran got no Oil now?
S. None, my boss.
P. Any good news for a change?
S. Yes, sure! Our Norwegian vassals were able to spread their culture on former German Offshore Platform in Northern Sea.
P. Wow! Lets demand it as a tribute!
S. Already done. Refusal would mean war, and Ban Ki-moon does not have stomach for that.
P. Good boy! Let us sell to Germany their own Oil ;)
S. How much should we ask for it?
P. 50 gold! I mean they cannot build any modern unit without Oil, plus this would create stability for Germany and EU, they must understand that Russia cannot sell them Oil and attack them at the same time. Mutual economic interests are the best protection from unpleasant wars.
S. I hope Sir E. Clipse will get a clue :cooool:
P. Well he better does! While we don't speak softly all the time we still carry big sticks, mind you!
S. :mwaha: We sure do!
P. And the last thing -- Barack wanted our Oil in exchange for Hit Records!
S. He was joking, I hope.
P. Not quite. Offer him 9 golds for Records (our people are happy already) and tell him that Oil costs much much more in the modern World.
S. Can I go to the pool now? It is so hot here, I am about to faint!
P. Faint? And you call yourself Silovik?! If you can't handle heat stay out of the Banya!

Funny how when the Middle East decides to stop trading/selling oil the rest of the world struggles a bit in obtaining it. It sure would be a good strategy to cut off all oil exports wouldn't it? :D

Provided that you have one Oil to build stuff every extra Oil is as good as the price you can get for it. AI values Oil alot, but they don't always have enough available funds to pay for it.

Ah yes, your "free market" system that may be true. In the Muslim mercantilistic world, extra oil for us just means less that everyone else has to fight over and means less oil bearing machines for us to worry about invading our lands with...

that and refusing to trade will drive the cost of oil very high so should we decide we are willing to share, that means more profits for us ;)

The Iranian city of Ahvaz falls to the Muslim Freedom Forces, while North Korean forces march on Tehran...

Wow, that picture with double Moai Statues in London and Brussels looks so good! And AP in Rome, one of the most beautiful buildings created by Fraxis!

Please remember House Rules, all the non-Muslim civs! ;)

Tigranes - Yes Eclipse is becoming known to me for his beautiful screenshots in his games... very enjoyable!

As mentioned above, the Iranian city of Ahvaz fell last night to the Muslim Freedom Forces in a surprisingly tough battle.

The crazy North Korean dictator requested the Confederacy's assistance in removing Mr. Ahmedinajad (forgive my terrible spelling, I'm writing all this from memory) from power in Iran. While our preference is to clear the entire Middle East of all foreigners, we were willing to agree with North Korea temporarily as at the moment we have a common goal. We will be in touch with North Korea in the future in hopes that their crusade is simply a temporary one and will turn over the Iranian lands to the free people who wish to join the Confederacy.

Upon declaring war, the Confederate Naval Battleships sunk Iran's two Destroyers in the Persian Gulf with minimal damage, giving us rightful control of the gulf. The Confederate Navy proceeded to sail to the port of Ahvaz and send only two rounds of bombardment into the city, forcing many of the Iranian forces out of hiding just in time to meet the Freedom Forces. The Iranian Gunship in Ahvaz proved to be the most pesky, taking out an M1 Abrams and severely damaging a Light Vehicle before being shot down. Iranian troops proved to be most worthy, as their guerilla city defense took down another T-99 Tank and a Light Vehicle before finally falling under the massive weight of the Muslim Freedom Forces. The bodies of the fallen Iranian soldiers shall be burned at sea in the Persian Gulf in recognition of their bravery in battle, even if they were in defense of an oppressive regime.

However in a show of power as a warning to those who might consider not following our direction, the Muslim Freedom Forces were so overpowering we were able to easily dispatch another known terrorist group in the mountains northeast of Ahvaz, and reinforce this area to overlook the North Korean armies entering the north of Iran.

Ahvaz itself was minimally damaged, however the city is in disarray as Ahmedinajad-loyalist pockets of Iranian citizens are wrecking havok. As usual, our Freedom Forces are on the job though, and we expect the city to revert to the peaceful nature of the greater Confederacy within the next 6 months.

ATTENTION!

Vladimir_Putin_at_the_Millennium_Summit_6-8_September_2000-23.jpg

In the light of escalating violence in Islamic Republic of Iran UN Secretary General Vladimir Putin calls for the UN Security Council's Extraordinary Meeting and Voting. The General Assembly will only reconvene in March 2012, but because we play PBEM game, we can use this forum to simulate realistic Security Council dynamics :p.

Security Council, consisting of five veto-wielding permanent members—China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States is asked to vote on the following Draft Resolution (Eclipse will have 2 votes ):

Permanent Members of UN Security Council are greatly concerned with the bloodshed and violence in Iran! We mean ... what the ... HELICOPTER is going on there :crazyeye:!!! Islamic Republic of Iran, as a Full Member of UN is being attacked from many sides by the other Members, the Iranian civilization may even seize to exist (even though it would require a complete kill of all the Iranian units). Of course UN Security Council cannot tolerate this situation! As a UN Secretary General and Permanent Member of Security Council Russia asks respective human players to vote on the following Draft:
1. Request Muslim Confederacy to offer PEACE to Iran.
2. Request China to offer PEACE to Iran.
3. Every Permanent Member will contribute troops to ENFORCE UN Security Council decision :deal::trouble:
4. In case Iran declining any of the PEACE offers -- draft a new resolution. This may include entrusting unwisely governed Shia Iran in the care of Sunni Muslim Confederacy if all the Permanent Members will agree +

Russia Votes YEA

We need votes or vetos from China, France, UK and USA ASAP please!

____________
+ Or will be bullied or bribed to agree via private diplomacy :cough: :cough:

The Muslim Confederacy is frankly shocked and appalled that the UN Secretary General would hold a Security Council vote without even having discourse or discussion on the situation, let alone getting the parties who are involved to speak. This one again shows the world what a farce the U.N. is to begin with...

Outstanding!!!

Iran is China's Vassal, I think we should hold out a little longer NEA

We have already messaged the Muslim Confederacy that we wish to withdrawl our troops from this area on their request to be left alone. My second vote is also NEA
Can you imagine one day this region free of War? Well it could mean war is needed to get the benefit. Let us not forget the UN Security Council is proposing War to stop a War, Who is really to say which is the right?

Although We will fully support this measure if it passes.

Sir E. Clipse
Repesentative of the E.U.

Grrrr! EU always has to be politically correct!
RE: shock..... It is not like Muslims got World's permission to invade Iran! Nothing on this planet can be done without Big Guys! It is not even a Sunni country, by the way! And they are Pleased with us. Unfortunately there is no Syria in our game, or they would be pleased with us as well...
The tally is 1 Yea and 2 Neys. Lets hope China and USA will post here soon! :)

I also discovered the "Alt & F" shortcut (It looks like a shot from a Satelite)

Edit; What/which House Rule(s)?
