I have got to give you credit Tigranes, rushing a great person to pop a Golden Age to make your civic switch without losing culture or anything... fairly ingenious. I should have thought of that. Instead I went into 2-4 turns of anarchy among 6 civs, lost my cultural borders and now need to bump the culture slider for 3 turns to get my land back. All this kind of stuff I never thought about when playing a mod starting in the modern age... good work by you.

My mistakes do make for fairly fun storytelling about the rise of the Confederacy though

Speaking of which - I have a turn in my inbox and still no sign of communication from the dirty dog Americans. His deadline to remove forces is February, 2011. I will be doing my turns tonight, so he will get his chance with plenty of warning, 1 more turn by my count.

I hope the world sees what is happening here! Obama has been given every opportunity and plenty of advanced warning and yet we get NO RESPONSE.

P.S. Many Russian cities do not even have factories or power, I further nerfed Russialand reducing almost every cities population by 1-2 points. Russia had 2nd-3rd GDP because of the number of the cities (that GDP place belongs to Japan in RL) and I did many things to buff Japan and nerf Russia, but land plays more important role in our game then even in the real life. If my Irkutsk loose culture war with China over the plot with the Sheep it will go starving. St. Petersburg was building culture first two turns to make sure Finland plots "prefer to conduct business" with Russia -- and now it's BFC looks lovely

But I don't... so... it's a strange situation the file says "Luthor" (that's me!) but the password is for "Obama"... Mr. Obama I don't reckon you would like to give me your password would you?!

I've had this issue before with PBEM games. Its a common bug. Sometimes if you save before hitting "enter" or shut down too quickly before the AI finishes its turns, the save messes up. Then even if you fix it, if there is a save there in the folder to overwrite it errors out.

Kiwitt - you need to go into the PBEM folder for this game, and delete the save sent to Luthor, as well as the American turn. Then start over with the Tawainese turn, do that and the American turn, being sure to let the AI complete its moves before you shut down the game. Then the new save to Luthor should work.

Today the last of those rebels loyal to former Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarek have finally seen the light of peace and joined our cause for freedom of all Muslim peoples in the Middle East and surrounding areas. Those citizens who have been safely protected from the violence in their homes are free to return to their homes and finally get to work supporting our cause.

We are also pleased to announce that Confederacy Freedom Forces have identified and killed known terrorists on the Iraq-Saudi border. We have also identified additional terrorist pockets residing in Iraq and Iran which shall be targeted for elimination in the coming months. This is part of our ongoing efforts to promote peaceful living and prosperity among the citizens throughout all of the Middle East.

In international developments, we have been in contact with leadership of Russia, the EU and also finally the Americans, who have all agreed and begun to withdraw their military forces from our homelands. No longer will our people have to live in fear from military oppression for practicing our own Muslim beliefs and cultures.

Lastly, the free people of Iran will be pleased to be informed that our Confederate Freedom Forces have been dispatched to the area and will begin the process of removing the current oppressive Iranian government led by Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. We have been in contact with Mr. Ahmadinejad in recent months, urging him to give up his oppressive ways and join the Confederacy, however he has balked at our requests. Mr. Ahmadinejad and his antics have drawn outsiders from North Korea into the area as North Korean forces march on Iran and threaten the livelihood of the free citizens living there. This is directly opposed to our beliefs and wishes to keep all free Muslim citizens of the Middle East pure of mind and body from the stagnation of outsiders. Mr. Ahmadinejad has forced our hand and unfortunately must be removed for the good of the free people suffering under his rule.

We will be offering a safe haven to all Iranian citizens and would urge them all to temporarily relocate to Saudi Arabia or Pakistan as soon as possible. We are in the process of setting up shelters to feed and clothe the displaced Iranians during what we expect will be a short period of cleansing. Once the Iranian government has been removed, we will all celebrate together the inclusion of the former Iranian homelands into the growing and prosperous Confederacy.
