Earth challenge (huge size)

Never knew you had an Earth18 up How about a deity game for the Inca? :)

I swear some of my viewers watch for the sole purpose to see me suffer .

More to the point, once we've solidified how this competition is working I'll probably do a video series showing one of my submissions; more earth maps are somewhat heavily requested and this looks to be a nice change of pace.

I want to know who's weighted most favorably though :p.

Diety for Inca would be rough on E18...

Fantastically craptastic land. America and Monty sharing a religeon with you being worst enemy of both.

Monty being nuts.

Oh yeah, and it's diety.

Good luck with that.

Inca on regular E18 is best played by getting to Uruguay quickly and then micromanaging your ass off till launch or legendarity. I'm sure TMIT could do it on deity but doubt if even he could make that entertaining to watch, especially culture

This map is entirely different though - in my first run Pacal's holy city culture basically ate up the entire rain forest before I could claim any of it. One thing's for certain, an Inca game will not be the usual peacefest...

Deity with Egypt would be nice; not too bad a starting position and a number of different styles of play available with wonder resources or early attack on Musa or Saladin,

Lately I've set up the mod StartingPoints for Earth18 so i can basically play a map with 18 random civs, with random leaders all in historic positions. Afew times i get civs that start too close together to settle and the later player of the 2 civs ends up in a position not correct but nothing is as fun as getting Mali as a random start and finding out after scouting that your sharing Africa with Hannibal, Shaka, Zara and Hatty :)

So how's your progress, guys? :) I didn't have a lot of time finishing a game myself yet, and I'll be on holiday for the next two weeks. But I hope one or some of you will have a result when I'm back. :) I really hope this thing's gonna work!

Been busy with NC so haven't had any time yet. Will start one at some point.

I want to know the weights placed on rankings for each civ before I pick one ;).

Well, that depends on the upcoming results, of course.

Do note that this is all played on Noble difficulty level.

Where is the save file supposed to go? I would very much like to try this out, even though I'm definitely not going to hit the number 1 spot.. :) I tried "PublicMaps", but that didn't seem to work. I'm on a Mac if that makes a difference.

It's on AFAIK and I still intend on doing it, but you must be the only one with any time around here - I'm preoccupied with my story Civwise, and have left this on neutral for the time being - but I'm sure you can post your result.

Between writing my thesis and studying for exams I did manage to sneak in a game.
The results:
Julius Ceasar
Monarch difficulty
Domination
1824 AD
152288 points

Wow...

Yes, it's still on. :) Very nice result, alhimik! I'll put it in the first post. Not much statistics to do with one result however. Keep 'em coming! :D

And if it weren't for some tiny Incan cities in Africa...
