Crazy forever
"Easy way to stop smoking" is not to start smoking.
I'm a non-smoker, which makes me a minority, and I love that!

Big companies tend not to do review spamming, this is characteristic of smaller companies.Leha said:OK, if person isn't impressed by feedbacks over internet (though it is strange, because I'm sure some "nicorette" providers are not less "powerfull" than Allen Carr, and they don't get such feedbacks),
Lots of sales doesn't mean lots of sucess. And personel accounts don't always work with me. I've had a trained health sciences teacher tell me that putting bags of salt in front of computer moniters wards off cancer. The only valid test for medical efficacy of different treatment options is controlled studies. You want to say this is the next best thing, show me that. Otherwise I'm gonna dismiss it as one of the many semihelpful self-help books.Leha said:all that's left, is give it a try. From my personal experience, it is worth trying. BTW 7 mln copies selled is ALOT, taking into account many people read this book for free on the internet sites.![]()

Sounds interesting. I just wanted to point out, that you don´t have pain when quit smoking, like you have from heroine. I never thought about the possibility of a change of behavior because of chemical changes... However, I feel goodSidhe said:There are physical but psychosomatic withdrawal symtpoms from nicotine although a friend who did some research on nicotine said these words, there is no physical addiction to nicotine(ie nothing like a true addiction in drugs like cocaine and heroin) But I say this with some caveats(he's an academic he likes using obscure words)it appears that after prolonged use the structure of the brain changes so that it becomes if not physically dependent then dependant on a different chemical level. Something like that, I assumed he knew what he was talking about though as he'd just finished his study and had it published for peer review. I am paraphrasing as I forget exactly what he said, It sounded like he was quoting directly from his paper.

Neomega said:I am just really curious what the book says that makes it so compelling. I quit cold-turkey over a year ago, I think. that was after 10 years off and on. yes I still have cravings.
And I find those numbers on the sight highly suspect, since EVERYONE I know who quit, quit cold turkey. I don't know wnayone who used gum, or hypnotherapy, or some book, and I know alot of people who have quit smoking.
Syntherio said:There might be a few, but I doubt most of the smokers really enjoy it. Not talking about pot![]()

How can it remove the feeling you get...?Leha said:2. It proves all "pros" for smoking wrong.
