EltNES: THIS World is Yours

General Olaf: Sweetness, our first religion. Tei, the Centaur. What do the people living in these towns and city call themselves?

Gem Hound: Game of Thrones, then. I SEE HOW IT IS. (I am not actually mad, shiz be crazy.) Names, I need names. What are your people called, what do they call the ice men, what do the ice men call themselves? (No one knows?) Also, I had previously said in the purple only towns and few cities could exist, so the Capital will be in the continental zone at the fork. That okay? Edit: Also I'd like a name for the religion, otherwise I'll name it "<people's name> Polytheism". Also, yes, it is from DND, but I was just making an example and am not going to use Githyanki.

No. I'm not talking about the others. They make wights/zombies. You also told me that with my method I could have at least cities up there in the purple. Also: Why can't a capital be the size of a normal city?

NVRMIND :D

All Good!

General Olaf: Sweetness, our first religion. Tei, the Centaur. What do the people living in these towns and city call themselves?

The Iril (or Irili, Irilians or Irilenes).

(please ignore the two town to the South East, I mis-calculated)

9 Points on Establishing towns. Across the lands, various populaces begin to gather.

#To the Far West (The Islanders) Fishermen folk, nothing special at this point in time, diving to pearls, decorating the largest tree on the island and worshiping it as the earth mother of that island. A bit more development and I will pump in some creation points to make this a full blown rastafari religion

C0064494-Congo_log_canoe-SPL.jpg

#To the Far North (The Water Birds). Safe on their island they act as a focal point of trade between the two continents. They are called the water birds for the way that their boats move through the water like a bird moves through the air (effortless). They trade everything, even their own mothers.

arab-slave-trade.jpg

make-ancient-viking-sail-800x800.jpg

#On the Mainland (W'tawni river) Humans. As basic as basic.. if your common trade partners are Lycalidk that is. Tamed Moa are traded by the Lycalidk for the manufactured goods the men produce. Basic tools and clothing. It is mosly peaceful between the two races, with obviously some banditry and evil in both

#On the North of the mainland (Jungle?) Lizardmen. Lizardmen HATE both the Lyalidk and the Humans. Both are either food or slaves for the Lizardmen, sometimes both. I say Lizardmen, but lets call them the Issiths 10 points adding barbarian race! War between their own family clans lead by a queen who layed them all. (Females are banished to start their own broods)

An example of typical queen attire:
lizard_queen_01.jpg

#On the East Humans. Yawn, filling the map, and getting civilized/eaten/enslaved/etc  So cut one of these towns so everything else is paid for :))
My maths has been wrong Do not worry about these two towns.

5 points - add Barbarian Tribes
10 points - add Barbaric Races [species. sentient. go nuts.]
Some advice.
The second one is what you have done with the lizardmen but you said that you would pay for the price of the first instead somehow.

Oh that sucks.. I was reading

5 points - add Barbarian Tribes

Orders: (21 Points Spent)

10 Points: Further the expansion of the Swiech (they are by far one of my favorite races, Merciary. Simple, but so fun!) to the large island of F/E10.

4 Points: These particular Swiech live it in one large warren (city) called Dhahabu Bahari next to the major river, and not too far from the hills so that they may best exploit the fertility and metals of the land while eating up the tasty fish in the sea.

7 Points: Establish "Wengi," the native religion of these particular Swiech. Wengi centers around the worship of a collection of shining deities made from gold, silver, and bronze whose identities are not really known, but their will certainly is. The major tenet of the religion is the acquirement of wealth through any means possible. Outright killing your enemy and taking their things is frowned upon, though force of arms is not forbidden.

Interesting Aside: Wengi has lead to the warrens of F/E10 being co-ruled by the wealthiest—not necessarily the strongest—Swiech of the surrounding area. Granted, the majority of the time these two things are one in the same.

TerrisH: Thank you, a city name. Garsh. How do you pronounce Montholin? Please do not edit the post you've just made when you add more. --->No problem, I didn't think it was low quality. A nomadic elephant people with fingers on their trunks. :0 Fukken centaurs of this world.

merciary: The Gnolls Lycalidk belong to no man, fool! They create themselves!

Is Warren the Swiech word for settlements, or is it specifically a Swiech settlement? Since they are rats-ish, do they burrow small hovels in hills, or build structures, or what? How closely do they live with one another? Packed tight, immediate family members, each has its own hole/structure, what? I am very interested by this concept.

Oh, would you mind naming those settlements you just placed? I'll name them after landmarks if you don't want to. I don't know how Swiech name things, though.

Gem Hound: Any settlement can be a "capital", "capital/large city" is just a distinction regarding size. Perhaps not the best wording, but oh well. Also, I meant 'cities and towns', not 'cities, large cities and towns', sorry for the confusion.

General Olaf: I am gonna go with Irilenes. Irilenic towns. Cool, yes? (Also, would you mind naming those settlements? SOOOOOO much hassle I know)

Abaddon: Multiple areas, I like.

1: What do the Islanders call themselves? More my meaning, what is the Islander word for Islander? What do they call their village?

2: Unless you decide otherwise, I will name the Water Birds according to their neighbors' word for a water bird, whatever that word may be. But I'd like a name for the town.

3: What do the W'tawni Traders called?

4: Could I get a little more info on the Issith? Each 'family' is probably the size of a village, all males in a certain village are sons serving their one Queen Mother, and the villages act as the clans? Do they construct their own homes, are they cold-blooded, what? Yes, it is safe to assume there are jungles in the green.

nutranurse: So these are the Ferengi Swiech then. :P What do these Swiech consider wealth? The usual, shinies, exotic items, endless meals, etc?

All: I'd like all the settlements you place to be given names. Names that the residents call them.

Edit: This first update is going to be on Saturday, to allow people with large school workloads to participate. After that, updates will be every wednesday and saturday. probably.

Gem Hound: Please do not edit creation posts. It really throws me off. I didn't dislike your given information. I am just obnoxious.

General Olaf: I am gonna go with Irilenes. Irilenic towns. Cool, yes? (Also, would you mind naming those settlements? SOOOOOO much hassle I know)

Fine by me.

The city can be Iris. The river mouth town is Carnis, and the lake one is Teirec.

I do not mean to harass people for names (I am sending many a VM to people, and preached about it in-thread) but I am working on the portions of the update now that I can.

I'm off to work now, I can get that info to you in about 12hrs...

Boundless: No worries.

merciary: Oh, I just made the connection between rabbit warrens (which I learned about at a raptor research station years ago, ironically enough) and Swiech warrens. That's ... awesome and terrifying. Good luck to stupid humans who try conquering them.

Oooh I forgot to ask, did anyone notice the Volcanoes I placed?

I noticed.

Yeah must Swiech settlements start underground but eventually they do work their way up to building on the surface but its generally quite haphazard, some guy decides he can have a bigger area without the effort of digging, builds a crude shelter, someone else wants to out do him, etc. For any surface settlements think like Kowloon.

And naming the warrens after landmarks is fine, that's how I always imagine the Swiech do it.

Abaddon: Multiple areas, I like.

1: What do the Islanders call themselves? More my meaning, what is the Islander word for Islander? What do they call their village?

Each village is a Dow. They are the Uneguk, phonetically the Un-guck

2: Unless you decide otherwise, I will name the Water Birds according to their neighbors' word for a water bird, whatever that word may be. But I'd like a name for the town.

Yes, their name is one outsiders called them which they have embraced as it makes them "better" than those who are in awe of them and bestowed them this name. They didn't think to call themselves something until that point.

3: What do the W'tawni Traders called?

Eh? Do you want to know what is traded, or their name?

4: Could I get a little more info on the Issith? Each 'family' is probably the size of a village, all males in a certain village are sons serving their one Queen Mother, and the villages act as the clans? Do they construct their own homes, are they cold-blooded, what? Yes, it is safe to assume there are jungles in the green.

Indeed, Queens rule with the more offspring they have a sign of their strength vs other villages. When she dies the colony dies, the males move on and will be accepted into any other colony. They are miners. That is, they build their homes on rock faces. This is for the warming quality of the sun on rocks in the morning. By mining into the rock they have discovered it can be warmer underground so they don't slow down at night. This mining has lead them to discover gems and metals and they adorn their bodies with such trinkets.

gldsnt_argonian.jpg

They have no interest in other creatures, but fights amongst different families are rare, since size is easy to measure and the smaller one submits.

merciary: I am very claustrophobic. I hate them. Alot :0 Kowloon, Hongkong?

Boundless: I sometimes read what I want to see, not what I actually type. I meant what are the humans along the W'tawni river called, who trade with the Lycalidk? Otherwise, that helps alot.

The Kaul.

Absolute generic humans there i'm afraid ;)

Well when the Swiech get to the point where they have extensive above ground settlements (if they get to that point) they'll look and probably be run a lot like how Kowloon was, haphazard construction, little regard for advance planning, more or less anarchy, etc.
