Emperor SG?

The wheat, the BG, the mountains, the coast, the river...

EDIT: Sipahi dominate too. :)

Lurker's Comment: Signing up as a lurker. I think that the English start is best, but If you move 1 tile north in the Ottoman one, it could be good.

Lurker's Comment:

I agree with Sparthage the English start is best.

Ottomans have a good UU, though a bit pricey, and very good traits. Tied with a decent start, they are the leaders here. The English start looks strong, which should offset the so-so traits and seafaring UU, though that gives a hidden advantage, our GA can be timed well. England should be a fun challenge.

I was leaning Ottomans too. Ind is always useful, no matter what and scientific is pretty useful too. But what really wants me to play the Otto start is the Sipahi. It is very hard to stop one...or an army-full of them!

Should I play the first 20 turns to possibly provoke some interest? It just may be that everyone's busy with other SG's. But if it's gonna be you and me playing back and forth...then you know...

As for the start, I guess moving 1N is the call?

Maybe a lurker can unlurk and join us? Some other SGs are heading toward the finish line, so maybe somebody gets bored waiting to play?

Wow. What a beginning! Ladies and gentlemen, we are going to have to take our gloves off for this one!

Lurkers: If you want to join, this is clearly the best time to!

Of all bad luck, the greeks as our first neighbor. The good news is that they aren't really strong yet. I wonder if we can wait 30 more turns for IW? Of course we can explore and trade with future enemies while this one is still alive, NOW allows trade and even alliances with other tribes until that tribe becomes the next victim.

Lurker's Comment: Good Luck with the Greeks. :goodjob:

(we need a nail bite smiley) ;)

I'll join that one. But please give me a little bit time with my turn sets. I can't guarantee to be fast. But the game looks interesting.

Once you get rid of the Greeks, this really isn't a horrible start. Unfortunately, they are the Greeks.

Lurker's Comment: I might be able to join after school is out. This Friday is my last day.

Ditto, only my last day is a LONG time after that (June 25).

Only because you people don't know how to handle snow.

You seriously should spend a winter up here and find out how ridiculous you all really are. ;)

Gamezrule, I spent a few months in Chicago in winter, I know that what we get is ridiculously low compared to everywhere north of the Potomac.

You must be from NoVa...
Yes, my street didn't get plowed until a week after the snow fell. Did wonders for my civtime though :D.
And, FYI, there are [delurk][/delurk] tags.
I actually thought of that, didn't think that they would work though . Oh well.
