Enhanced User Interface v1.30m

Hello, I have a question regarding the trade window, when the AI makes an offer for one of my resource will EUI provide me with details on that resource, do I have an extra to trade or not? Sometimes I agree to a trade offer only to find out I've plunged into negative happiness because I've just traded the last of them.

I haven't install this mod yet and solving the mentioned problem would be nice for me.
Thanks
I forgot how it is without EUI, but with EUI you see the number of ressources you have behind it. This is the total amount you have. So if it is a 1, you just have one, and you should be careful trading it. If you have 2 or more, you can give it away without problems.

when i load a game in and hover my mouse over the something in the production line it shows a white block instead of a picture. ive tried it with all the combinations of mods i had and with no mods and it still does it. it crashes shortly after.

And without EUI it does not happen?

It sounds like your game is missing a picture-file... but then you would also have an error message, saying one dds file is missing.

Do you have any other DLC-like mods enabled (copied in the DLC folder)?

I think you should try a reinstall of Civ and EUI. If something is missing or messed up from other things you did before, reinstall will solve it.

Before reinstall you can also upload the lua.log, database.log and xml.log http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=487482

Which mods were active at the last game you played (the game the log is about)?
I see Infoaddict, and a mod with units: UNIT_CHAMPA_MOD, UNIT_CHAM_GOLD_DUMMY and UNIT_CHAM_PIRATE_DUMMY.

So please delete all other content, even if you think it can't have sth. to do with it.
Then test it again and hover your mouse over the production so the error appears and game crashes. Upload the logs from it.

what do you mean by delete all other content?

When an AI asks to RENEW a trade deal, I also check my current deals with them (by hovering over their right-side icon) to confirm that the renewal would be for a CURRENT agreement (i.e. there is a '(1)' to its right to indicate it is a deal that is about to expire).

This is very useful as the AI will occasionally seek to renew an agreement which they let expire a long time ago because they lacked funds to renew it.

Obviously you have other content active. E.g the things I mentioned. You have at least Info Addict mod active, and a mod/more mods that have the Units I mentioned.

So delete them all and any other additional content, which is not from firaxis.

If you don't remember what you added/changed then you have to reinstall Civ.

It is very likely, that not EUI alone causes the bug you mentioned. I'm sure it is caused because of a combination of incompatible mods, so EUI + ? .

it happens also here sometimes, so I guess it is a general issue of EUI.
But it happens much more often at my slow pc.

I have an ultrabook, but it plays Civ 5 well enough. This issue I'm having is really obnoxious though. Should I just get used to it?

Hello,

Just started playing with EUI, love it a lot, would like it to have accumulates Faith and Culture on display, is it possible?

It would be nice to know when exactly to spend a culture bomb to gain a policy, the value of the great writer increases each turn so knowing the amount of accumulated culture could be useful.

Knowing the accumulated sum of faith is also important as to buy the special buildings (Pagoda etc.) at the write moment, it's important not to waist turns in which the Pagoda could be useful.

Thanks

You can hover over the display from culture/faith or click it to get these information I think.

@wolvensyth
Hm... there is no error or simular in your logs... So I don't know what is causing the display bug, sry =/

You can set to auto-buy religious buildings (or whatever you can buy with faith) in the religion tab. If you set auto-buying to nothing the display will switch to faith(+faith per turn).

@Serp yes you can hoover over culture and faith but its no very clear and very small, would be nice to these two showing accumulated sum as in the vanilla ui.

@Strigvir the display only shows faith per turn and turns to the next Pantheon or great prophet etc. some times I'm on the watch for a great engineer for 4000 and later it's 12000 so having accumulated faith on display is nice.

I read somewhere on this thread that the op said it's possible and the only reason for not applying that feature is to avoid clutter.

So I still hope for that feature;)

Thanks

@Edit - Actually it doesn't matter anymore, I'm already hooked on EUI, :goodjob: didn't take long...

Pre-industrial faith gets expended at Great Prophet the moment you get enough faith for him. Why didn't you set GE to auto-buy and then switch afterwards is beyond me.

@Strigvir, thanks a lot for finding time to reply.

First, I don't like auto buy because I need sometimes a Pagoda and another time a Missionary or an Inquisitor.

Regarding your attached pictures, on the first you can clearly see faith per turn and turns to the next "event", on the second picture you can see accumulated faith.

For some reason I had at the start of the game only per turn and later it switched to accumulated without me doing a thing....

As I mentioned it would be nice to have accumulated Culture and Faith but as I added on my previous post it doesn't matter anymore because after 500 turns I'm hooked on this mod and can't go back to play without it:)

Basically the way it works is that it's show faith per turn when you have a clear endpoint : at the start of the game, that's founding a pantheon, because that's the only thing you can use faith for. Then it shows you the timer for the Great Prophet, because again, that's the only thing you can do. Once you've founded your religion, it'll default back to showin you how much faith you have (and faith per turn), unless you set an auto-buy (or the "save for great prophet" option), in which case it'll go back to showing faith per turn (and turns until you reach your objective).

So if you want to see your total faith at all times, choose "remind me later" in the faith overview after you've founded a religion.
