I think Celsius makes sense for science simply because it's standard (really, it should be Kelvin, though). I just think Fahrenheit is perfectly valid for weather.

Kelvin obviously is the most meaningful scientific scale. If you talk weather, Celcius is more meaningful. + Celcius degrees = precipitation will be rain. - Celcius degrees = precipitation will be snow, roads will freeze, etc. Pretty significant information. Fahrenheit is just horrible on all accounts, it's not tied up to any major physical parameters, and it's not equidistant to the others. And about the accuracy, you can meassure temperatures down to decimal places ...
