Even Moar Units: Hooves and Holy War

Even Moar Units: Hooves and Holy War 1.41

wow wonderfool mod ! may i have a question? how to made a ingame unit models? civ6 official modding tools not release yet.

There are no new 3D models. These units are all made by recombining and recolouring existing units in the Units.artdef - in the case of Hooves and Holy War using parts of the new units from the Viking Scenario.

In the installation notes I mention that "This mod requires both the Viking Scenario DLC and Moar Units to be installed."

So I need the DLC, AND MOAR Units installed then I can install the three other MOAR Units expansions. Correct? And they all work in tandem?

Correct! If you own all DLCs, there will be 4 active MOAR components for the full experience.

I can build cataphract on turn 1 but they cost zero production :crazyeye:

Yeah sorry about that... sometimes I do this via SQL to test the graphics and then forget to take it out again before uploading. Fixed now.

Can anyone post a screen of the Callabarii and the Farfane for me?

If you look in the teaser image, the Cataphract uses the Callabarii unit graphic and the Horseman and Knight of Calatrava use the Farfane model but with different helmets. Unfortunately the white vest and red cross are baked into the Farfane unit texture. I also used the Huscarl cape and body for the Templar.

That's right. This is all enforced by dependencies so you won't be able to activate the Even Moar Units mods without the relevant DLCs installed. I did it this way to cater for people who may have all/some/none of the DLC.

Are the horsemen supposed to have no men on the horses? lol

Just a nitpick; if you could possibly change the horse on the Cataphract to be armored you should. It is sort of is why they are called Cataphracts.

That was already changed in the 1.1 update. :)

Nope. Did you perform this necessary part of the install instructions?

4. A small edit is required to the VikingScenario.modinfo within the DLC folder changing the ModArt element as follows:

<ModArt id="ART_COMPOMENT">
<Properties>
<RuleSet>RULESET_SCENARIO_VIKINGS</RuleSet>
</Properties>
<Items>
<File>VikingScenario.dep</File>
</Items>
</ModArt>

to...

<ModArt id="ART_COMPOMENT">
<Items>
<File>VikingScenario.dep</File>
</Items>
</ModArt>

In other words remove lines 106-108 from VikingScenario.modinfo. This is to allow the Viking Scenario unit graphics to be used by other mods such as this one.

Thanks for you work! I really like the ideas you have fleshed out.

Question: Is it possible to get a version of the MOAR mods that only introduces the units that are meant to fill in the huge gaps between upgrades from vanilla?
ie: Only having riflemen, cuirassier and cataphract added.

Yes it possible but someone other than me will have to make it! Removing stuff is much easier than adding so it wouldn't be too hard. :)

Where can I build my Templars? My religion has Crusade and i researched Iron Working, but I still can't build them.
