Fall Flat Release

well, since you think that doviello need something... you could borrow the changes from Orbis, they're pretty damn flavourful there ;)

Was I supposed to delete the old mod before installing the new one?
The new shortcut directs to a new directory for RC5, while the mod actually installed itself to the old directory of RC3.

Not a major thing at all, but thought I might point it out. :)

Yeah, I do that to prevent mod pollution if I revert changes or anything.

It also lets you continue savegames if you have a desperate ache to. Otherwise it's no big deal t delete the old RC3 directory.

My Jotnar cities are unable to grow past population level 8, they just keep recirculating. I heard that they stopped at 10. Not so? And the Jotnar worker doesn't gain xp, as you know. Also, is there an Archer equivalent in the Jotnar? Because they should at least have somebody that can hurl boulders at other things beside city walls.

It was originally 10, was changed to 8 without updating the documentation.
The Jotnar worker is a known bug. It actually DOES gain xp, it just can't take any promotions to spend it on.
No, there is no archer equivalent as far as I know. However, all Giants are able to bombard defenses, even workers.

Please direct all Jotnar related issues to one of the appropriate threads - I've done no work on them in Fall Flat and therefore any issues you have with them are not limited to Fall Flat.

Not to say I won't be looking at balancing them eventually, but right now they're kind of a novelty in Flat - part of the reason AIs cannot play them.

Is it still OK to lobby for including the Orbis Doviello changes? :D

If so, consider yourself lobbied.

Just a couple of questions. Will this work with the latest version?

Oh, and what's with this.
*Korinna is now Agnostic, and can build the Temple of the Gift and the Scion preist unit line. The Risen Emperor can still not construct the Vacant Mausoleum.

Stop mocking me! :) Seriously, I'd like to play as a religion leader someday as the Scions, and it doesn't really make sense that The Risen Emperor isn't the only anti-religion person in the group...

Really, it boils down to the Agnostic trait is a bit on the Fail side, it's just mind numbing broken and useless...and makes no sense. Also, it will never change unless Kael is susceptible to bribes.

But I've argued that point too much.
As it stands, I don't see why every member of their race has to be agnostic, let alone their leaders..

I mean, I didn't think I was playing around with Uber Nietzsche. :)

Xivan T'nava is a new leader for the Scions (among others) and he can follow a standard religion.

Korinna got access to the full Scion lineup in exchange - all of the units that she used to be locked off from.

*Xivan T'nava may lead the Scions of Patria. He can trick Korinna the Protector into his service. He may build the Vacant Mausoleum, but the Risen Emperor will not spawn for a usurper of his throne. His Usurper trait will effect Legates, Doomsayers, and Doomgivers like the preists of standard religions.

Xivan is not agnostic, and can adopt any religion. Only Scion leader if Fall Flat able to do so.

Edit: Damn, Iceciro beat me. :)

I'm actually trying to decide whether to lock him off from the standard Scion religious units - but using them to snag Reborn is pretty important, so *shrugs* not sure.

Hmm. Fair enough. I just don't think it balances it out at all. Nuking Religion in order to get Religion units doesn't quite form a logical connection...

I dare say even the full range of units is kind of a loss when you notice how hard it is for Agnostics to get money. :)

Can't switch a religion, you're stuck with low units until 40 dungeons spawn gold. :) Or, spamming great merchants...
That's another reason why said Agnostic is broken. Not to mention the whole useless naming. It's not Agnosticism, I'll tell you that much.

I'm aware unless I bribe Kael, it will never change, I just, I don't know, I find that insulting, I guess, considering I'm Agnostic. And I wouldn't be such a jerk to my kingdom...like some...with the exception of Cassiel anyway. Human/Angels would know.

Yeah, I went over the whole Agnostic/Intolerant trait name scheme on these forums long before I started modding - I think somebody beat me over the head with a dictionary definition and won, though.

In any case what Agnostic seems to mean in this game is "Has their own religion" except for Cassiel who's the only real agnostic in the game. Khad worships Oghma(Mammon) the Scions have their own religion, etc.

I could change the name for everybody but Cassie, but I have effort to be directed elsewhere.

I've never had any trouble making money as the Scions - remember, you don't have to work any food tiles. Any. You can have entire cities that do nothing but work tiles and tiles of cottages covered in Haunted Lands for 7 commerce each.

Whoops. I forgot about Haunted Lands. Of course, My Korina is like Red, instead of Black, so I don't know how to cast the freaky spell.

I'll keep that in mind though. Yeah, now deserts are useful.

Does intolerant work? One could use it for Scions, Cualli and Illians as well. Perhaps Mazatl too. Then rename agnostic to secular.

I think that the conditions by which you can acquire the Risen Emperor as a unit should be explicitly specified in the unit card. From what I can only guess, he is only available if you play Scions as Korinna leader. I can understand his not being available for the usurper, but then that means that he and Korinna can never be in the same game as a unit, since I also guess that you cannot play with him and play as him. Is this right?

Yeah... I should really give him a help text flag somewhere that states his requirements.

He comes into play for free (as an event) once you've built the Vacant Mausoleum, but only for Korrina the Protector (who doesn't get herself as a hero.)

A quick question, is this mod an independent on or just an add on to FF ?
Will I be able to play with my current game after installing this or will it wreck my saves ?
Last question, is it compatible with the Malakim rework ?

thanx
