Fall Further Plus

Did you activate Modular Loading in the FFPlus.ini, rather than the FF050.ini?

I don't see a FFPlus.ini file. I activated modular loading in the FF050.ini (which is also in the FFplus folder)

edit: OKAY renamed ff ini file to FFPlus.ini, works now! Yay!

So, noone's found an easteregg? I'd have thought they'd be rather obvious.

I was quite surprised and pleased to find Demon Hunter Training, but I don't think that's quite what you have in mind as an Easter egg.

Lenora (and regular zeppelins too, if they use the same art) needs to be a lot smaller, a lot closer to the ground, or both. It's really hard to tell what tile she's in right now.

Giving the dragons Channeling 1/2/3 has made Acheron hide behind all of the other units in his city.

The ini should be created automatically after you load the mod the first time... Not sure why it didn't for you.

Yeah, not quite an easter egg.

Lenora has her own art, but both are rather large. I'll look at reducing them, but can't really make them any closer to the ground without messing with the nif, something I don't like doing.

I'm actually ok with that. You have to go through all the fodder to get to the dragon.

I am running Vista. Probably the issue. The same thing happened with FF, I had to copy the file myself.

Edit: nice to see Microsoft includes "easter eggs" of their own, aww how nice.

Alright, it seems to be working now. I reinstalled FF and patch N, FFPlus, and the quick fix. The only thing different I did this time was that I did not install the Wild Mana add-on. Now it is loading fine with no xml errors. Would the Wild Mana part actually cause those errors? Well, now I can have some fun with the Mechanos!

Is there a way to make the new version of FFPlus install into a new folder?

I have a savegame running under the old one I'd like to keep until I'm done, but I want to try mechanos too :D

I clearly stayed up way too late last night playing this - I seriously had a dream about finding an Easter egg.

That particular part of the dragon issue does sound good, but the problem is that in practice it means showing up and basically getting free Marksman for a while to slaughter barbarians. Part of the threat of Acheron is that the city he's in nurtures bit stacks of doom, but now you can pick them off before they become a threat.

The easy way to do it is to move your old FFPlus folder somewhere else so it doesn't get overwritten, install the new one, and just switch them when you want to go back to the old game.

playing with mechanos now. Something I've noticed. I can't buil the Steamworks.

According to it's pedia, the only requirement is the Ordo Machinarum holy city, which I have of course. and it can be built with a great engineer. so I rushed construction and got one. but there's no steamworks option.

For now, I just worked around it manually by deleting my engineer then worlbuildering it in.

Get the new version.

Is it intentional that everyone can build Adeptus? Also, in the game I am playing, the Sheiam are building Refineries.. have screenshot/save if you want it.

Also, for ease of dealing with loading/unloading, Blimps should not be loadable onto other blimps, lenora, zeppelins, etc..

Lenora's Letter of Marque is not able to be removed. Kind of sucks to find out after using it on my huge fleet of blimps (which might be a little too strong, especially with a techpriest around..)

Ah yes. Another attachment I forgot to delete....... Wild Mana is part of FFPlus now. The options to control it are grouped under the "Blessing of Amatheon" option. :goodjob:

What far_wanderer said.

Hmm... That could be an issue. I'll look at it.

Yeah, that's fixed in the quickfix I posted. Forgot to remove the <bUnique> tag from the building.

Are you seeing ANYONE build it, or only people you've converted? The priest unit for the Ordo Machinarum is a weaker version of the Adeptus. Only one they get, too... Right now it only needs writing and the temple, I'll probably make it require the state religion as well in a patch.

Everyone is building Adeptus and Refineriess in the game I'm laying. I haven't converted anyone.

Were you playing with AInobuildingrequirements? Because I can see the Adeptus in the build list, but it is grayed out and requires the Clock Tower, something they can only build if they have the religion.

Edit: Woops, found a bug... If the Mechanos are not in game, their religion will be founded by a random civ. I've added the Steampower tech, which will be required for the religion and the Refineries. Only the Mechanos can research it, it's an offshoot of KotE. Just like in Orbis.

Please don't make the religion even harder to get. It's already incredibly difficult to spread, this would add an extra hundred or so turns to get to it and make it spawn in some worthless secondary city, magnifying the cost of Adeptus even further.

It's not. It's still founded automatically in the Mechanos Capital. Only difference is that if they are not in game, the religion cannot be founded. It's required for the Refineries, but anyone who follows the Ordo Machinarum can research it. So basically, you won't get random AI's building refineries, and you won't get the religion in game unless the Mechanos are in game.

As far as I know I was not using the noAIbuildrequirements option. I will double check. I was playing as the mechanos with Maer as the leader. I didn't see any Adeptus running around but somehow there where refineries being built. Doesn't make sense to me.
