Farow did you get my project inquiry?

When will stats be up?

Military Orders said:
Operation Slave Trade
The Teraden people have proven themselves too weak to protect themselves

Forces: 1000 Infantry, 3000 Cavalry

- Track the fleeing Teraden exodus and wait for them to camp for the night. Maneuver the infantry so that they cut off their line of retreat, have 500 Cavalry specifically watching for those attempting to flee with orders to run them down, and charge into their camp with 2500 Cavalry while the Teraden sleep. Kill all the men, enslave all the women and children and bring them back to cities.

- Loot everything thats valuable, sell all the jewelry to foreigners, etc - our people have no need of such things. Take the useful stuff - armour, weapons, tools, etc - back to the cities.

- Do not hold any land after we have taken what we want. We will hold to the borders agreed upon with Tereno.

Emphasis added. I'm not complaining, just letting Iggy know I'm not encroaching on purpose :) Also, was my project accounted for? Just curious! Great update Farow!

EDIT: I'll post the domestic orders shortly, if y'all like to see the detail he was talking about.

TO: Tereno
FROM: Ilion

We hold to our agreement. Any expansion by Tereno into the agreed upon borders will not be considered an act of war by Ilion.

TO: Tampla
FROM: Ilion

A Messenger
You are holding property that belongs to us. We will be blunt - deliver to us this property or face total annihilation. Refuse and you will see the heads of your reverant fathers dashed against the walls, hear the howls of your daughters as they are ravaged by our men over... and over... and over again, the wailing screams of your sobbing mothers will pierce the very heavens in their anguish. No stone shall stand upon another, no Son of Tampla will have cause or ability to draw breath. Will you yield and this avoid, or guilty in defence, be thus destroyed?

These are not your people, yet they will bring untold suffering down upon you. What are one hundred lives to the fate of a city? Your first reply will be your last, choose wisely.

We assume this means that you will give the lands formerly of Teraden to us. Is this correct?

Yes, the borders agreed upon will be honoured. Also, we have recently acquired a number of exquisite goods and are delivering them to you as a state gift. (Disregard the royal seal of Teredan on the mugs :p).

EDIT: We believe we would both profit from increased trade relations and a formal Treaty of Brotherhood ((10ish turn NAP? Whatever you'd agree to))

((I was just trying to save Farow time by saying that even though we technically hold the land, you can have it, so that he doesn't have to edit the map. Although I will admit that the language was pretty vague ;)))

It is done then.

King Carlino I shakes hands with Basileus Lycurgus and signs a 10 turn pact of non-aggression.

Oh, I want to congratulate Farow on a nice update! =P

Yay, I was the first country mentioned in the update. That makes me special.

No that makes you, the first one he saw on the map/stats.

OCC: @North King, No messages can make it to the Malduke as their two only cities are surrounded and cut off but they would refuse anyway if they had contact with you.

Oh. That's a shame. But I knew they would refuse it; very few people pay attention to some madman who thinks he's a god. Which is what all of my rulers are, really. :p

Great Update!

@The Farow: Do I have contact with Canidae and/or the Sky Gods? Also, PMed you about the placement of Industria.

From: Dux Patriarchae Terrae Trifluentiae (Leader of the Patriarchs of Terra Trifluentia)
To: Patriarchae Forgonis (Patriarchs of Forgon)

Why must we war when in peace, our nations may prosper? You cannot destroy us, and we have no wish to destroy a noble people such as yours. Still, it cannot be denied that it is more fitting for this earth to be united than divided--for what is the world but the great family of humanity? And all know that a family should be united under the wise rule of its patriarch rather than divided into bitter factions. So we shall extend you the same offer we did the Gens Fluenti Orientis, who now live happily and equally within our commonwealth. Send delegates to the Curia Patriarchae. Keep your government and your culture--for nations, like families, are as diverse as their members. Divided, we are weak, but united, we could be strong--as are all happy families. What say you?

I know you said that and that is why none of the lands are settled you conquered but you had to break the land agreement to defeat Teraden.

Edit:

From Tampla
To: Illion

We will let them go but it is your responsibility to come and get them. If you are not here after five years will just kick them from our walls and it will be your responsibility to hunt them down.

From Forgon
To Dux Patriarchae Terrae Trifluentiae (Leader of the Patriarchs of Terra Trifluentia)

*Cutts off messangers head*

OCC: I always wanted to do that. I will fix Industria's placement. You do have contact with the Sky Gods (forgot to mention that) but no contact with Canidae.

I spent all that time developing that beautiful metaphor and I don't even get a proper response?

When can we expect stats?

From: Dux Patriarchae Terrae Trifluentiae (Leader of the Patriarchs of Terra Trifluentia)
To: Interceptori Forgonis (Usurpers of Forgon)

We see that you are not, after all, the rightful patriarch of your branch of the family of men, but an usurper. You do not even take the time to compose a civilized response, but act violently and rashly. You are not a true leader, but a pretender, who poisons the very roots of your people and culture. Such branches must be removed before they infect the entire tree. You will be cut out of the family, and your people, returned their true rulers, will rejoice in it.

OOC: Yay! Double metaphor!

From: Dux Patriarchae Terrae Trifluentiae (Leader of the Patriarchs of Terra Trifluentia)
To: Gens Caeli (People of the Sky)

Well met, People of the Sky. Surely, since you live closer to the heavens, you must be enlightened from them? If so, we look forward to a prosperous relationship--for it is not fitting for members of the great Family of Man to squabble amongst each other. Shall we trade together?

Stats are being worked on as we speak so expect them sometime today.

OCC: That is why you never write a metaphor to barbarians. They get confused and thus angry acting out violently :).

But they have a nation name! Shouldn't they be civilized then? :p

They are special barbarians. They have a nation because they are extremely powerful and on the verge of becoming a civilization. That does not mean they are still not incredibly stupid and have enough trouble translating your message.

But enough of this spam :)
