I do not believe we should move, why are we moving when everything is so bountiful here?

Food will be reduced in the winter and its colder here in the north.

Then again, its clear that there's something in the south that's potentially hostile so damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Plus, even with domesticated pigs, they'll require food to keep them alive and it'll be hard to gather food when its snowing in the north.

Of course, you could make the argument to stay. The reason the Tribe was going to start moving in two turns (early Fall) was so they can reach the southern coast by winter.

And even if everyone did do a massive hunt during winter, its already happened once that when there's one turn where everyone hunts a lot of wildlife at once, there's a turn or two where the Tribe has some difficulty getting food. This isn't a problem in the summer because there's still a lot of wildlife about. Slightly larger issue when its getting closer to winter.

This is Britain, all of it will be cold over winter, we can't move enough distance that will make ANY difference however...

If does make sense to shift if we are running out of food.. but are we?

Yes we ARE running out of food. On the issues:
1. Throw my support behind the chief in this revolt. Demand the return of the woman to the rest of the tribe. Mr. Red has no power to force her into anything.
2. Then lets get moving.
3. Lets breed them, but keep the population under control until spring when we should get as many as we can feed, then use their meat for next winter.
4. YAY!

4xp: Tame a horse
1xp: Create a makeshift saddle for the horse using leaves, or leather if possible.

Mr. Aiken i propose that we start to train a wider range of tribesmen in the use of spears and hand to hand combat in case the hostiles to the south attack while the tribe moves south. Maybe have half a dozen or so men dedicated solely to the security of the tribe? A small military?

I believe some teamwork is in order.
Why dont we combine or efforts to perfect the shields, javelins, and Waynes shield? Then, we can work on using these new devices together effectively, so we will be the greatest warriors in the land.

...has anyone thought to try and go horseback with a spear and shield? Unstoppability!

Also i think our weapons are fine for now, we just need to replicate them and teach people how to use them. I doubt anyone else has shields or bows. They might have a spear, but not very good ones.

Also, whats the difference between my spear and this javelin that people are speaking of?

Our weapons are unsturdy, apparently. That could be a problem. And you need to invent stirrups! Very important. I would try to work with Abaddon, he seems to understand the concept of Animal Husbandry.

Javelins are meant to be thrown and are shorter than spears.

And the horses that are there aren't the kind strong enough to even ride and they're wild horses so yeah.

1xp: Replicate the perfected spears and shields to distribute to tribesmen of my choice next turn. Use them to help in sparring in the meantime.
