FfH2 0.25 Bug Thread

Could those having WoC spinlock issues try out this DLL with their save game. It fixes the issue in Backov's save. I also tested it with Robert the Bruce's save and it fixed it as well.

Tried the replacment CvGameCoreDLL025 but did not fix my spin lock - playing Flauros .25l.

Hi there,

I've got the WoC spinlock issue too. I downloaded Kael's fix and copied the file in "Bts\mods\ffh2.25\assests". When I run the game via the FFH short cut, i get an XML error message. When I reinstall the old DLL, the game runs fine (still with the WoC issue, though).

Can anyone help me out please?

Edit: I forgot to add that BTS and FFH are proberly patched (3.13 and Patch "L")

That error typically means that you dont have a dll in place.

I don't really understand what you mean with "you dont have a dll in place".
I just overwrited the old dll with the one provided in your fix.
What did I wrong ?
 
the Ai auto worker improvemet of mana nodes, is it to late to add a terrain tile that the worker cannot enter but a adept can, therby allwing them to be immune from auto improve by the AI?.
 
had the same WoC spinlock issue, playing calabim 0.25l
the dll helped resolve it

Hokay. Not in the patches. so I'll list em
First off.. I'm using Civ Gold Beyond the Sword
Now to list them

#1, Cannot play as Infernal or Angels because whenever it asks to swap, the game freezes on that turn as if Someone wasn't ending their turn.
#2, When in unrestricted leaders with Destroy all units, The game crashes should I take a civ down that has no units left, only one town.
#3, Hyperborn apears twice with Random leaders.. Even though he's not infernals, he apears.
#4, Area effect spells Declare war without warning, If you don't notice the units there. Such as Tidal wave and Ring of fire.
 
Another spinlock WFOC hang. This game was futher along. Huge map, 33 civs, playing on Epic as the Calabim with latest version + Kael's spinlock dll installed.

Don't really know where to post this, since it's not really a bug of the mod itself.
I keep getting an error message when trying do open the exe of the MediaPack, saying that the exe is "corrupted or incomplete".
And yes, of cours I already downloaded it a second time, but it didn't make any difference.

EDIT: solved it myself... as I actually expected it wasn't the fault of the exe.
 
I'm pretty sure that's a feature. Taking on a vassal state means that you take on ersponsibility for its protection and survival. If others are at war with them, then you will need to go to war with them, also.
 
not sure if its bug or a feature but everytime i use elohim, i see all the bonuses on map, and also if its on someones territory, have units on top of that tile etc.
 
Seeing the specials is a feature, seeing troops is a bug apparently but it wont be corrected till shadow.
 
Not sure if this has been reported or not, but...

When the Amurite hero (forget his name) teaches a spell to someone, they gain the hero (or arcane) promotion automatically and continue to gain XP each turn...which results in a Civ full of heroes.
 
I finally managed to get the mod installed again (after 2 complete un/reinstalls of all of civ4 + expansions). Well worth the trouble though. Looks like some great fine-tuning has happened since I played last. Not to mention that it really looks like a whole now. Byebye, BtS! :D

Um, anyway, bug report... I can't load units onto the Black Wind, even though it has cargo space available. Units just can't board it. Not heroes, not regular units, not workers. Very strange.
 
More bugs?
If this is a feature it sucks.. but When I am ashen viel, sometimes my WORLD UNITs and heros disapear and become infernal .. warriors.
Regular units I can understand, but the World units.. Ugh

Cannot play as Svaltafar civilization, can only make AI play as her.

Game crashes when attempting a tiny map with advanced start and 5 or more civs.

This is because Black Wind has Hidden Nationality (HN), so only other units with HN can be loaded.

Are you meaning when the Avatar of Wrath appears? If so, that is currently not a bug, but also going to be changed in the future.

If it is just happening randomly... well, yeah that sucks.

Svaltafar and Sidar are still AI only, till mid December

It's happened every time I've played as the Amurites. The usual scenario for me is to build a dimensional node, giving myself the ability to teach haste and "return" to my troops. So, it may be having the two abilities rather than just the default haste. I could try it with just one, then maybe summon skeleton added to it. I'm also usually Dain, rather than Val...so that may play a part as well.

I'll test it out some more and post my findings.
 
I just recreated it with Dain, using summon skeleton, and the warrior just leveled up.

It appears to start with the second ability, as I taught haste and it behaved normally. But, within one turn of teaching the summon skeleton spell, he started leveling.
