FfH2 0.31 Bug Thread

Do recon units retain their bonus over War Elephants when they are upgraded from Elephants?

The reason I say that is because I was so proud of myself when I upgraded my 2 captured Elephants to the powerful War Elephants. It is expensive, but it really gives you a strong early game unit. That's what I thought, anyway.

But, then, I managed to lose both of them to barbarian Lizardmen without promotions. One, with Combat 3 was damaged down to 6.X strength, but the other was at full strength (8.X) and had Combat 2.

Maybe they were swell 99.X% defending losses, but I'm wondering if recon units get the bonus or not?

I'm still playing 0.30k but I think the issue might still be relevant. I'm playing Doviello and I got the Machinery and Bowyers tech. However, right after getting Machinery I've lost the ability to build Longbowmen anywhere while I could build them along with Javelin Throwers in every city of mine and now I can only build Crossbowmen - kinda sucks when it comes to organizing defense for the oncoming Armageddon (I want to raze all the opponents' cities - the ones I have on my continent are already too much :P) and I guess I'm stuck with melee units here.

I think there may be something going on with barb recon bonuses. I lost 2 out of three giants from the Pact to goblins. Both had combat 3 and were nearly at 100% health. The goblins were unpromoted. It was on Emperor, so they get some barb bonus, I'm not sure how much, but if you are loosing war elephants and I am loosing giants, they might be getting too much bonus.
 
I can confirm what a previous poster said, mask is not working under any circumstances (CoE unit, state religion, and the unit is alone without cargo on land.)

How often are air elementals supposed to spawn lightning elementals? I haven't seen one after 2-3 wins...

According to the Civilopedia, it is suppose to spawn one every time the air elemental wins a combat. Is it an intended change that it doesn't?

I have an odd crash happening. If my screen is centered on my northern-most city of Ciriail, the game crashes at the end of the turn. If I am looking anywhere else, it is fine. This is with patch a.
 
Dies Diei & Nox Noctis no longer start the elections, but without the line to start up the elections, the line to force elegibility is without reference. Needs to be a Python Hook now in order for that to work.

It also seems that the Flurry is no longer replacement for the Crossbowman... why? They just got new art too!
 
Easy Upload seems to be down right now, but I have a 031a save game file which crashes when I hit enter. I am finishing researching astronomy that turn, and if I gift myself astronony in the worldbuilder and then hit enter, the game doesn't crash. If the upload system is back online in a few hours, I'll upload the file then.

Also, when spreading the guild of the nine to a new city, it spreads just fine, but the graphic does not display above the city alongside religions, etc.

Is spirit guide supposed to give workers or settlers the experience of a killed unit? As the elohim, I have all of my combat units with spirit guide, so whenever one dies, the experience seems to go to a noncombat unit.

The corporation names in the corporation screen are back to all being "wolf" again.

edit: Nevermind about the crash, it works with patch c.
 
The AI is disbanding their heroes. Sheelba lost Rosier, Rantine, and Duin Halfmoon in the same turn, while at peace with everyone. I checked the WB, there are no enemies by her cities.

Any chance her cities went to size one? I had a mass disbanding by the Svaltvar last game.

Were you playing Svartalfar? They had Flurries removed and now have regular (but with new art) Crossbowmen. Flurries are now Ljosalfar only UU's.
 
I can't attach files either for the moment. My ctd is strange though, because when I reload the quicksave (taken just before I hit return) it crached (I tested it two times, you never know) then I opened the world builder to have a looksie, but I didn't find anyting strange, I went back and hit return and voila, it worked. Wonder why?

Okey, here is an oldie (nag, nag, nag) but the promise of a promotion to certain units that you buy (for example a scout with subdue animal and so on) never (still) works. It is always a promotion free unit you got. I realise that this isn't the most urgent bug, but it is irritating. So if that can't be fixed, can't we rewrite the text in the event so it doesn't say that you got a unit with a promotion, at least until all major bugs are fixed (could be helpful to all newbies that wonders, what?)

While I'm on the nag mode. Can someone answer me if the voting thing will/can be fixed. Since I never see it in the changelog I assume that it isn't fix. But can someone tell me if it can be fixed at all. I usually don't join a counsil because in general don't like when one civ can rule over two others. The few times I have joined and we are three, five (etc.) civs in the counsil I desparately try to bribe one other to join to avoid a that a small "elite" rules the counsil over a majority of others.

The Kuriotates had that in my first 0.31 game. Lost Kithra and all cities went to size 1. That happened when the AC was around 40.

I had a Mistform attack an enemy Shadow that I had just uncovered using a Floating Eye. I got this python exception:
