Filefront is closing

ah man that's too bad. Filefront was always my preferred download site.

Your kidding. Wonder why they couldn't have just put more ads on the site though.

&@$%.

I liked Filefront a lot. It seemed less intrusive, more user friendly than some of the other file hosting sites. Also very rarely have I been disappointed when looking for a patch for an old game.

Ahh darn it, I always loved file front, they were always so user friendly when downloading than other sites (probably their jolly blue background helped a lot).

I'll miss it. Look for those patches you been meaning to dl and get them quick!

It is true, there is no direct concerns with FFH, however...
For my part, when I used to report bugs to the FFH team (v 0.2x, 0.3x...), I used Filefront for uploading my zipped files with the saved games, print screens etc...
It also means that some posts in FFH (and of course elsewhere) with attachments or reference to an external link might not work anymore, and it can give a chance to any poster with a filefront link to edit and actualize the (future) broken link...
I also recall that, the 1st time I downloaded FFH (1...), it was from a link at FileFront (original upload or not, I don't know). It has then a sentimental value to me as I have immersed myself into FFH World, as I would do with a Tad Williams (huge) story...
I think it is nice to report this in this part of the site as well. I have bookmarked FFH as my starting IE7 page, along with yahoo mail. Without this message, I would not have been aware in time of Filefront shutting down operations, and it indirectly has an impact on the diffusion of FFH as it was obviously used as a mirror by some.
Farewell, Filefront. Any site that helped sharing creations deserve a warm "good bye". even if it is a sad one...

I posted here cause a lot people use Filefront including you to post your mods last i downloaded the new version ffh it was from filefront so was most of mods for ffh

I suggest mediafire. You can even set up a directory there you can give out to other people, so they can just go to that same directory for the latest version, or even archival versions.

Well I could host few small 50 100 mb files I have 5 Terabytes of Bandwidth a month. and not hard setup a file tracker for downloads
