Five Take On The World (Conquests, Deity)

India is very weak compared to us I believe and won't get into war that easy.

We can use the rest of the turns to finish off Greece and Russia?

Preturn: Things look good. I do dedicate at least one town to tanks.

IBT: Babylon and India sign a peace Treaty.

1630 AD: I decide to continue on the Babylons before war with india. Maybe clear them from the continent.
I send a big stack of Artillery toward the current Babylon capitol.

IBT: Infantry are attacked by tanks. 2 wins, 2 losses.

1635 AD: Two of the 3 cities to the N are destroyed. Move on the southern cities.

IBT: A tank attacks an infantry and wins

1640 AD: Destroy the last N city
Raise Shurrupak (capitol)

1645 AD: Moving toward Babylons last two cities on the contient. I try an attack with the army but it just lowers its to 3 so I retreat the army again.

1650 AD: I take out the second to last Babylon city (Samarra or something like that). The last will be a while to get to as my first small invasion force was killed by enemy tanks.

Next turn: India

1655 AD: Declare war on India.
I take out the 3 Indian towns closest to us and the oil town. India is still fairly weak from our last attack.
I start cutting the roads to limit where India can go and attack.

1660 AD:
Take out two more Indian towns nearest us, and two other size 1 towns. This removes the last of the size 1 indian towns. The towns we did not take last war with India are left:
3 Indian towns are to the south and are ex-viking towns.
4 towns in the old Indian core with Bombay as the capitol
1 Isolated town Yarsolav to the North.

1665 AD:
Destroy Eulobar - The last Babylon town on our continent. Babylon is now banished to the same island as Greece.

1670 AD:
Destroy the fist ex-viking town. Attack another but do not do well (2 tanks lost vs 1 hp TOW).
Attack town to the N but army is badly injured on 2nd unit.

IBT: Greece declares war on the Russians.

1675 AD:
Destroy a second ex-viking town. The last should fall next turn.

Notes:
We have lost all our Sapahi. The net player can decide if we want more. Their advantage is speed 3.

The army did pathetically on my turns which slowed us down. It is currently fortified near the Northmost Indian town. It has 4 hp but should be healed 3 for next turn. I sent some units to support it. The bombers on the carriors can also reach this town.

We have had bomber losses. India and Bablyon both have had fighters. I generally continued to bomb a city until the fighters were destroyed. We have 39. We have 49 artillery. We were also low on tanks so I built some.

Istanbul still has unhappiness from the abandoned city from Aggies turn. If you want Istanbul to build Tanks or bombers, then raise Lux 10% to get it over 100 shields. It is currently building TOW and does not need the extra shields so I lowered the lux rate

My progress was slower than aggies. There were several cities that took a while to get to due to forested tundtra. I don't think the game will finish in 10 turns though I could be wrong. It might be worth it for Gozpel to finish up anyways if he feels up to it. I don't see it lasting more than 15 (unless Russia or Greece turns out to be more difficult)

How about 15? Or do you think it will take a full 20 (or more)? I agree 10 is not likely.

Gozpel could play and see what things look like in 10 turns. If it is simply a matter of mopping up, then continue. If it looks like more grueling warfare he can pass on the game to the next player.

Ok, I'll see what I can do.

Pretty funny really to see Babs almost vaporized, as they where so big when we started the war :)

The last chapter of the great Ottoman empire:

Research zero, luxes 20%.

IT - Cool, 5 Babs destroyers sink 3 of our destroyers and a carrier with bombers.

1680 - Sink the remaining 4 destroyers with bombers.

Destroy Reykjavik and Bombay

1685 - Destroy Yaroslavl and Bengal

1690 - Sink 4 Babs boats (3 destroyers and a transport) and destroy Bangalore

1695 - Sink another 4 Babs boats )3 frigates and a transport) There fleet is gone.

Raze the last Indian city Jalapur? and chase down a settler. India is gone.

1700 - Bombard Russian cites and move units around. Lnd some troops in Russia.

1705 - Raze the 3 russian towns on their southern island.

Bombard russias middle island and land a couple of tanks.

Declare on Greece and start bombing them. A transport with Siaphis and tanks are on its way.

1710 - Destroy the 2 towns on Russian middle island, land tanks on the north isle.

1715 - Raze one russian city, one to go.

1720 - Russia is gone

Raze 2 Greek towns, one left. 4 Babs towns left too.

1725 - Greece is gone, destroy a Babs town.

1730 - Destroy 2 Babs towns.

1735 - I let a Sipahi do the honors of taking and razing Hyderabad and Babylon is gone :)

And we win. [dance] [party]

This was a great game, very intense and very rewarding :thanx:

The save the turn before.

Excellent job finishing up Gozpel. I was thinking it would take you longer, but you were very efficient.

Hard to believe this is the same game where we couldn't place 5 towns and had one of them flip on us ( I am also very glad we didn't get two flips and drop to three towns ).

In all a challenging game.

Great game guys. I thought you might be goners in the early going. Great reversal and play. Much applause!

WOW. I can't believe you guys actually pulled this one out. I've been watching this for a while, and you played a great game throughout.

Congratulations everyone! An excellent effort and no mean achievement. A lot of superb play and great warfare. Even though I missed my last couple of turns I still enjoyed the game immensely. I think removing masses of micromanagement from the late game makes the game so much easier to play. Rather than having to check through every single city in a massive empire you can have a quick glance at 5 cities and then get on with the interesting stuff, the war and diplomacy.

It's amazing how the game panned out. It seems such a long time ago that we were terrified of the Greeks and fretting over getting 5 cities! Just shows that if you never give up and play determinedly, anything is possible.

Good show :)

Wow, congrats on a great win! :)

The efficiency of bombers are too powerful, in my world. But with the early problems we had, I see no 'fault" of ours to use them, and to use them effectively.

Unfortunatley, as my computer died when Aggie? started the warfare, I had no idea what was going on. Then I get back online and see crumbling nations to the left and the right :)

I can only take some credit for finding a road towards Babylon and destroying 25% of their military. The real credit goes to the players that made it possible to even get a foothold. Just amazing! :)

Would the team dare to try the same concept, but this time with Aggie's idea about bombers? Or even no bombers at all. And with a weaker UU.
