I went nine years to Japanese supplementary school (for the children of businessmen posted to Eurpoean filials) so I a little about Chinese letters. I confirm that it's not Sword, but Strength. The letter for Sword does not have the middle line cross the other. And Ming is indeed "bright". The "Grandma" bit, I am unsure of, but Chinese has far more characters (and often different ones) than Japanese Kanji (imported Chinese letters. Japanese words usually have two sets of pronounciations for this reason: one is the original Japanese, the other is used when Chinese letters are combined to form Kanji) so it might be correct.

How's this Kentharu?
The two outer bands are Gorinese colours, the central band represents the Wardash, the crossed axes solidarity. The axe handles are also Crystalist colours (Shalamari's tone) although you can ignore that if you want.
