Foreign Policy: RealmsBeyond

Yeah, I see no benefit in asking RB for more info about the Spanish request for help. Later on, maybe we can tell them this was our turning point when we realized they did not want an alliance with us, but rather they're just looking for our "neutrality" through t175.

We need to tell them that we met Poly.

For me at least their answer was showing. Normal and expected, but showing.

Exactly right General 2metra... They do not consider us a prospect for allies, they just want to keep us caged until they can gain an insurmountable lead. There is no reason for them to offer us help, because they don't want to be allies, they just want to stay in the lead. Our war with SpAp helps that, so they won't help us, and they can't help SpAp because of the NAP (thank goodness for that), because I think if there was no NAP we might be facing a 3 front war instead of two.

I think it is not that fair to blame them for not telling us immediately - we were actually surprised that they told us at all ;) RBs are pros, I do not think we need to make excuses for attacking them

Oh, I dont blame them at all, did not knew anyone else is blaming them too, are they at all obliged to tell us things?

I agree with you Maga, but I think Yossarian is suggesting that we play this up later when we are trying to tell them that we are not renewing NAP. I agree that what they did was not that bad, but we must tell them something when we are thinking of not renewing our NAP so we should be collecting any insults or potential insults that RB commits to use at that time.

What about giving them rational and true reasons

we think it is not in our best interests to extend the NAP beyond T175

Is being rational considered rude in MP? ;)

I mean, they would know anyway that we are not attacking them because of the various "insults". BTW, they seemed to be very nice and friendly towards us all along. We can also name our "price for friendship", if they would ask.

True. Rational and true reasons might work as well. I'd like to have a stock of both to decide from when the time comes. Even if they would see through them, silly reasons might still have a purpose. It might shape their opinion of us in a way that would be beneficial to us, however, this is all theoretical and many turns down the road.

This is true too. I myself love to give simple reasons to people so they think they have me figured out and underestimate me.

No, we shouldn't feel at all offended RB didn't tell us about the Spanish team asking them if they'd like to join in. We agree that they don't see us as allies, just future rivals. So why should they tell us? Should we tell RB that Apolyton is hankerin' for an anti-RB alliance? No- we know we're going to be in a showdown eventually.

Would we tell CP that the Germans asked us for help to invade them? You betcha- we see CP as an ally.

I agree we shouldn't be offended. We should just keep a memory of the event for potential use later. That is all I meant.

-1 You refused to help us during our war effort.

My question was also - is this a part of MP convention and expected role playing? To pretend that we declare war because of accumulated "insults"?
