Forgetting sarah palin

This is a perfect summation of "conservatism." The only concern seems to be "to piss liberals off." Not governing competently, not honesty, not any coherent ideological plan. Just pissing off liberals.

But here's the thing about Sarah Palin: we're not pissed off. We're laughing. :)

Cleo

As you should. And we shouldnt begrudge you it either, since we have had our own, very valid, laughs at prominent democrats too. I mean, that John Edwards was just as close to the presidency as Palin........rofl.

Not to mention, he and the rest of the Palin apologists are the ones who are obviously "pissed off" here.

Why do you talk as though that's actually finished? The Taliban are still there, and Canadian soldiers are still being killed trying to get rid of them. Canada isn't scheduled to leave Afghanistan until 2011 and we fully expect the U.S. to do all it can to convince whoever our Prime Minister will be to keep Canada there even longer.
I meant getting involved in afghanistan was something that needed to be done, not that the situation is resolved. If anything it's barely started, even after the militants are gone we need to work on rebuilding everything. The fact that we didn't help them rebuild and completely ignored them after the cold war was the reason the Taliban got a foothold in the first place.

This is not a "News article".

Why is Sara Palin so hated by people?
Do you remember the interview where Charlie Gibson put his glasses on the end of his nose and asked Sara Palin what court decisions she didn't like?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z75QSExE0jU

Where is the clip of some snot-nose reporter grilling Joe Biden?
Oh. Thats right. It does not exist because the press & the OP have their nose stuck up Obama's ass.

This is great stuff.

It wasn't too long ago that she was the belle of the ball, impugning Obama's patriotism and whipping the Republican base into a frenzy. And the media lapped it up.

But when they start turning the spotlight on her and asking the tough, pertinent questions, suddenly it's, "WaaaaaaaaaaHHHH...they're all mean and I'm picking up my toys and going home!!".

And to think that someone with the intellectual capacity of a bag of Cool Ranch Doritoes was that close to laying hands on the nuclear football.....

I think most people would disagree with that particular assertion.

Umm are you seriously using MSNBC as a credible example? That station is horribly biased and has terrible ratings to boot, so "most people" is quite inaccurate. I can't even get MSNBC now on my upstairs TV without the digital box, they removed it two months ago.

The people who watch MSNBC are probably the same people who were OK when they were bashing Bush, but aren't OK with Fox bashing Obama now. Guaranteed.

What about having an incompetent, lieing old bag only two deaths from the presidency? ;)

What old bag do you speak of? Oh, wait, right, Nancy Pelosi.

Well, she's more incompetent than a liar. ;)

You do realize that's a clip from "Scarborough Country," MSNBC's morning show that's hosted by Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman from the Class of '94, right? Is he "horribly biased," too?

Cleo

Of course they are. Because you say so.

I can confirm that. Scarborough's my district's old congressman, and he's about as rightwing as you get.

When the 2008 campaign was in full swing, I was eating at a restaurant with a few friends, and instead of a football game the vice presidential debate was on the TV set behind the bar. Sarah Palin was doing one of her spiels, and a girl sitting across from me at our table stares up at the TV set, and says: "she scares me".

This article isn't bizarre or incoherent at all. Liberals are, in fact, obsessed with and scared to death of Sarah Palin. Which is precisely the reason I think she's awesome.

Just that some bimbo liberals are scared of her doesnt mean the entire liberal population are as stupid

I actually want her to run in 2012 to make a big joke of herself and further discredit the conservatives

I'll take it. One out of two ain't bad.
Omigod.

I can't believe I wrote that. I'm turning into a wuss.

Well, lemme just set that straight right now. I want both, and I'll get both if it takes forty thousand posts. Saddam had to go. Cost regardless. That idiot started two wars that killed a couple million people, used chemical weapons on civilians, and just in case all the environmental activists on the planet suddenly became ******** all at the same time, Saddam Hussein caused one of the most gigantic environmental disasters in history.

And the U.S. military was the best method to get rid of him. We've got better gear than any anti-Saddam insurgency would have had, we have weapons that actually hit what you target instead of the school a hundred yards away, and we train to actually kill the bad guys and avoid killing civvies.

There, that's a start. Now I need to get a beer and watch a football game or some monster truck racing or something. If I'd let this go another week I woulda started growing breasts.

So you're glad our enemies in the region are stronger and freer to act. :goodjob:

The fact that we didn't help them rebuild and completely ignored them after the cold war was the reason the Taliban got a foothold in the first place.
You mean after we financed the fundamentalist Muslims to overthrow the moderate ones who were in charge of the government previously? We created the Taliban by helping to overthrow their sovereign government.

You seem to be forgetting that the US backed his first war, so we created the military that eventually invaded Kuwait after he thought he had our permission to do so. Furthermore, we encouraged him to use chemical weapons against his enemies and even gave him strains of various biological WMDs in case he needed them as well. So in blaming Hussein for millions of innocent deaths, you are actually blaming the US.

It's all called blowback. Our actions continue to create the next generation of 'terrorists'. And they will continue to do so as long as we meddle in the internal affairs of countries which should have little or no interest to us.

Hey, Terrorists are better than Commies, right? Right?

Right?

@BasketCase: We completely agree that Saddam was a *autocensorword*, but overthrowing him only screwed the Middle East up worse.

I think the real reason for the publication of this article is this:

Forgetting Ann Coulter

Cleo

As you should. And we shouldnt begrudge you it either, since we have had our own, very valid, laughs at prominent democrats too. I mean, that John Edwards was just as close to the presidency as Palin........rofl.

Isnt it ironic that republicans had no problems with Sen McCain extra martial affairs ? Not to mention how dirty the push polls were conducted by Bush in the republican run off with "illegal black child". Or how strange it would be looking back at the attacks on Kerrys marrying into wealth and luxury.

I miss gay prositutes in the white house, cyber sexing with underaged male minors, hookergate. Well things are looking up.

MSNBC today, Brooks recalled how he “sat next to a Republican senator once at dinner and he had his hand on my inner thigh the whole time”:

BROOKS: You know, all three of us spend a lot of time covering politicians and I don’t know about you guys, but in my view, they’re all emotional freaks of one sort or another. They’re guaranteed to invade your personal space, touch you. I sat next to a Republican senator once at dinner and he had his hand on my inner thigh the whole time. I was like, ehh, get me out of here.

HARWOOD: What?

BROOKS: I can only imagine what happens to you guys.

O’DONNELL: Sorry, who was that?

BROOKS: I’m not telling you, I’m not telling you.

The REPUBLICANS are back. :goodjob:

I mean, that John Edwards was just as close to the presidency as Palin........rofl.

Huh? First of all, Edwards never even threatedened to break third in the primaries, so your claim is factually inaccurate, but Edwards was nothing but a lying snake who cheated on his sick wife. A Romney-McCain fusion in other words. Palin on the other hand is just plain unqualified, both from her person and from her experience.

Kinda forgetting 2004, Miles. ;)
