The "go to new post" works perfectly for me, after I've once accessed a thread.

To expand on this, you can fix the problem immediately by just clicking Mark Forums Read at the top left once. After that, every new post (and going to said new post) works as intended.

Welp, that took me by surprise, and right when the preview embargo was being lifted as well :S

That being said, the boards seems more responsive and sleek. And "forum archievements" are cool! :) but the forum theme is far too much visually abrasive. White background is tiring to the eye, and light grey as a secondary font / interface is night-unreadable. I do hope that it gets changed soon.

Oh, now that I think of it, I would also like a feature in your alerts which shows you if you have already clicked/checked a specific alert. Right now, when you are subscribed/follow quite a few posts, and all of them have alerts, it gets quite difficult to keep track of them all!
That being said, I also get multiple alerts from the same thread (i.e. I got an alert from both Vincour and Pouakai posting in this thread since my last post). I think that's all intentional, but is there a way of making it (i.e. a preference) so that you only receive one alert per thread?

my eyes , my eyes !

the post count ? Seperate action to discover the login bar ? And haven't even scrolled down yet ...

what's being awarded a trophy , haven't even shot down a F-22 or that 35 abomination ?

watched threads open all threads within a timeframe instead of threads with new replies , surprises to see my own idiotic thread have an answer , turns out it's not so ... You see , it's almost 8 years now , conditioned to a certain form and function .

pressing the last read post takes you pages down , to page 103 if the last one is 105 , 4 if 6 . And returning to this post led to the incredible experience of pop-ups , twice . If ı want to play a busty elf babe , those pop-ups are already over the net . Why in CFC ? Or is it a server thing ?

and please &#305 is really ı ... Nobody ever reads me anyhow , want to make it harder ? What would be the point ? Shall ı teach Turkish to Xenforo ? Forum software certainly doesn't recognize Turkish letters , ş caused Süleymanşah divided into two , şah becoming the a new line as if pressing ENTER . İ does the same ...

you could use the box at the bottom of the page for multiple posts , now ı have to reply to my own posts , which always come out in bold and will have to edit myself . It doesn't recognize paragraph starts created by -it seems- single use of ENTER but might recognize the use of the same 3 or 4 times .

I'll add my voice to those wanting Tapatalk enabled. While the mobile web functionality has definitely improved, I still find the app significantly easier to use on my phone.

Also, maybe I'm just blind, but where is the option to change how many post you see on a page? Doesn't seem to be under preferences.

That's strange. My Alerts bar combines all alerts of a certain kind in a specific thread into one alert. For example, if 5 different people respond to this thread after me, it'll just tell me about the first person who replied. That doesn't apply to different alert types, however. If someone were to reply, someone were to quote me, and someone were to like me, I'd receive an independent alert for each.

I wonder if it depends on if other threads get replies in between, since I've had both instances before of multiple alerts and just the one. Like, if thread A gets a reply, then Thread B, then thread A again, do I get two alerts or three?

ah yes , when ı take over the world the old format will be back .

hell , where is the logout ?

I'm getting multiple alerts even from multiple replies soon posted after each other in thread A, without anything such as likes or quote alerts in between them.

When time comes and these are all compressed in a single alert, will likes/quotes also be included in that single alert, because that's what I would prefer since I'm going to read the thread anyways :p

That's honestly quite baffling. That shouldn't be happening, and nothing in Alert Preferences would cause or otherwise resolve that. Strange. Could you try disabling all of your alert notifications and then re-enabling them?

Edit: As an extra thought... are you looking at the thread after each of these alerts? If you look and then navigate away, it'll alert you again when there's another reply as long as that thread is considered 'Watched'.

As The_J suspected, it looks like it could be a permissions problem - I get an 'Error: you may not report this content' message from that link. Perhaps it is related to different usergroups - The_J had been in the 'retired mods' usergroup, which had granted him a particular badge. I had been in the 'super mod' usergroup. Ryika also was in a special/unique usergroup, I believe. So the question might be whether any regular forum member who isn't in any special usergroup can report a post.
Obviously it's not a priority, but it would be nice to have my "Retired Moderator" badge back when it's convenient. I feel undressed without it.

That might be the issue, could you and Pouakai post some debugging replies (2 or 3 should do the trick) while I close my browser and come back in 5-10 minutes or so

Can anyone tell me what happened with the download database? I can't find the links, and I am afraid, all this great Civ4 stuff (and the great items for other civ versions, too) are lost. That would be an desaster for this forum, as this database is the main reason why I am active here.

I've had a PM discussion with 2 other people at once, and the new layout is actually a big improvement in this case. The overview is also much cleaner in your inbox.
Is there still an option for BCC messaging? I'd hate to have to send the same message separately to all the people involved in an activity.

I miss the "Member since Jun. 2007" message that used to be below the avatar.
(It's nice to know whether you are talking to a newbee who may still need a bit of help getting around the forum, or to an old veteran... :))
And: the number of posts is missing as well.

Also what I don't like: the time and date of a post used to be very prominent right at the top, so I could easily make out the time between to replies etc. (Quite important for PBEM threads... ;)) Now my eye has to wander into each single thread and hunt down the post date somewhere in that tiny font text at the end... :(
